Unfortunately, there is not enough information about how the Mech lab will work. What I would need to know is if we would be able to modify a mech with Endo-steel, Ferro Fibrous, and so on. If so, then I'll take am moded Prime Hunchback all day long.

In fact I recently upgraded to Legendary because I couldn't decide between the Hunch and Catapult, so I got both and am now crossing my fingers that the Mech lab will let me do what I hope.

In one of the topics it was mentioned that "estimated" value of the robot with founders skin AND c-bill boost is ~$15. So my suggestion is simple - allow for all founders an option to purchase ANY variant of ANY mech they like by $15 ( obviously this variant will still bear founders skin and still get c-boost ) . Apparently, if there will be any mechanism / date for the variant requested - this variant has to be unlocked first , the date has to pass first etc. ( unlike originally given 1-4 mechs ) .. if there will be any fame / honour points or shame points or any other type of progress on the variant ( in case someone already got variant by other means, and decided to switch to founders variant ) all of those shall be transferred/copied to the founders variant after purchase .

What is amazing is that people do not get the idea that these mechs and the founders packages are basically a limited time preorder item. That is that, you do not buy them, they are gone. So right there you statement is made invalid. Second, you have to train up in the Prime variant to get a sub variant...so it would be very very silly to gimp you efforts at getting any of the other variants If you were to trade your Prime variant. How would you advance in the mech tree?

These mechs are a Gift to us for having enough courage to preorder a F2P game. Just get over the fact that every other mech you will ever own will not have the c-bill booster or unique look of the Founders Models and Skins. Because they have made it clear that they are not changing their minds. Time to move on people...nothing to see here.

The alterations may be expensive, but there is no reason why a mech could not be torn down piece by piece and have even Endosteel Installed. As for the Ferro...replacing the armor is easy as it comes in kits for common designs. They have also said we can swap out engines...and heat sinks are a snap. All it depends on is if you have the C-Bills for the work! ;-)

Because it is a bonus. Applying it to all variants means it is an entitlement and the developers have stated they want to avoid a pay to win model.

May not like the variants with the bonus but every mech can be effective if it is used to it's strengths.

I'm completely against P2W model, but shoot me now if you see how SKIN and C-Boost could help you to win

no disrespect meant here, but I'd like to hear something like this from PGI people, I'm not talking about "all mechs here" etc. , but about possibility to get "founders" Daishi one day ( I don't care much about C-bills boost )

And I would like to buy my M4A2E1 Sherman I got from the WoT beta...but it is not gonna happen. If they do make a Daishi down the line it will be outside of the founders time frame.

Default Hunchback is great. Big gun in torso or pewpew double Large Laser / ER PPC in the arms with something dumb like 16 double heatsinks. You can even go Gauss/AC 20 + ER Large Laser with DHS and Endo Steel. I don't see what's bad about the default Hunchie.

If you can do it with the hardpoint limits built into the game... you might be able to cram all that in with the existing hardpoints on a hunchie though. We'll have to see when the advanced tech becomes available.

I'd rather they keep the founders mechs as they are. Especially with an unlock system starting with a prime variant.

Be happy to see future premium mechs! But I'd like them to have their own unique scheme or possible schemes and leave the founders mechs alone.
