10% longer beam duration. And no, PGI's cooldown "buff" of 0.15 seconds does not even remotely offset this.
PS: The 6 LL build would deal 54 damage, not 60.

While I did forget LL's deal 9 damage, they still have a DPS buff, even if I would rather have the duration.

No, what I meant is that there's no point even talking about paper DPS when you're heat dissipation limited after the first two alphas, but I digress. And yeah, the duration got nerfed to 1.1, probably because that way all the large lasers have the same dmg/tick, and that sure looks better on the spreadsheet. I'm starting to think weapon range wasn't even a variable in this laser "rebalance".

Having the same duration with the LL just made the Large Laser a bit less useful than the ER one.

A bit? It's completely useless now. Duration and heat were the only things the LL has on the ERLL. One is gone and the other I can make up for with ST heat gen nodes.

ERLL won't be able to replace the wubvomit for short-mid range, so it will retain it's role but be a bit better. LL was already very rare so that's a strange nerf.
So the changes I see in the laser usage department on IS side is more MPLs to backup the LPLs and lights switching from SPLs to meds. Not a huge change.
Much bigger impact on the clan side with cSPLs boating and cLPL+cMlas combo not working well anymore. Possibly the big laser vomit configs will be cLPL + 2 or 3 cMPL now? Maybe cMlas + cLL will see some use even.

cLPL + cERML still does more damage.
2 cLPL + 4 cERML = 52
2 cLPL + 2 cMPL = 39
If using cMPL, might as well boat a lot of them for less tonnage than cLPL + whatever.
7 cMPL = 52.5
Anyways, we seem to be going in the direction of more Mechs boating only 1 weapon anyhow except LRM boats, those darn OP LRMs all the skilled players used that caused AMS buffs.
Oops, sorry, SRM boats.
Cause boats, ya know.
