[CFC Conky]

Hello all,

Just completed those two challenges today and they were a lot of fun. I'm a fairly new player, don't use large lasers much (I'm more of a ballistics guy) and I was pleasantly surprised at their effectiveness (I know, I know, nerf coming...). Also, the matches seemed to go at a slightly slower pace, I suppose because everyone had to pay more attention to heat and perhaps take more time to aim for components.

In any case, I enjoyed the challenge because it made me play in a different style than what I'm used to and I it went a lot better than I thought possible at my experience level (deeeeep in Tier 5 ). I highly recommend new players try out these challenges, I believe you'll learn a lot from them and become a better player as a result.

Yeah, been having allot of fun with the Summer Blast myself. Usually get burnt out during the weekend events.

I wouldn't worry too much about the nerf, both nerfs and buffs come and go as no one can agree what balance is.

IS lasers are not getting nerfed outside of the small..

True enough, I was making a general statement about the upcoming patch, should have said 'changes' instead of 'nerfs'. From the sounds of it, the IS medium will get a bit of a buff.

Well the event got me to use my neglected Blackjack (my only mech equipped with LLs) - and was surprised at how fun it was to play.

Great event, but annoyed that will miss a lot of it due to being away (will take the laptop anyway in case I can find some way of getting internet access).

I enjoy events like this because they coax people into trying things that are outside their comfort zones.

I don't know why I didn't slap large lasers on my Grasshoppers before. Maybe just being stubborn and sticking to the mediums. Dumb, either way.

the event has pulled me away from my normal play style,

Ive had to adapt and charge some builds...

BUT its also hard cause at the same time focused more on my sons account, because he has 7 mech bays and 4 mechs... while ive got 53 mastered mechs and 3/4 a billion cbills...
but its a nice event
