No, there should not be a button to allow one person to ruin 23 other peoples game by deciding he wants to quit. I don't care why they want to quit. That person hit the launch button and committed to playing that match for the entire match. It's one of the reasons that PGI has put in a penalty for leaving a match early (often times the person simply DC's at no fault of their own but is still penalized). Allowing people to quit whenever they want because, well who cares why, doesn't matter. Answer is no, that is a poorly thought out idea that would make the problem much worse then it is now.

Instead of quitting, try to learn something from the beating you are about to receive. And don't ask me "what am I suppose to learn from getting pug stomped and spawn camped?" The answer is simple, figure it out. That's your responsibility, not mine. I got better by figuring it out, you can too.

@G4LV4TRON
Aggressive posting? All i did was reformulate how i wanted to talk about your surrender button. Sorry it looked dumb and i wanted to change it^^ (i deleted exactly one word Posted Image are you a lil kid that stomps on the ground everytime he doesn't have an argument?)
"After a while" directly after posting. You can even see the timestamps.

Besides i really don't care if i earn disdain by you since that can't really count as it looks like every person that even remotely tries to contact you gets a handfull^^

Lack of moderation? I thought everyone was buddies with Ash and that's the reason he doesn't get banned cuz he's so evil? You should decide on what you wanna believe^^

Lost cause. Really. You describe yourself as a lost cause? That's sad.

And it STILL counts. There is nothing on Ashs profile that counts in favor of you. There simply is nothing.

Give me reason to be on your side.

It just seems like you want free win tickets. Such a rage quit button is just mean for the other 23 guys.

Wave your little E-Peen elsewhere boy, this circle jerk you seem to enjoy is not productive and your constant attacks on others is funny like when all forum warriors do it, please learn a new trick, you asked a question about a "I Quit" button, several players that have been here much longer answered and why, of you can't understand that sorry for you, but other than that I'll just shoot you if I see you in match, if not it's not worth my time to entertain your rant past this post.

Same problem as poster above, you ignored half of previous postings before posting your own except not trying to act like a *****, so I will answer you. As addressed, the issue lies on both ends.

You might be enjoying lack of moderation on these forums, but all you've earned by doing so is just more disdain.

Ok so now I'm going back and editing it and/or deleting?

Certainly not a lack of moderation around here. I asked a user for some facts (and provided a heap of my own) and I ended up getting a 1 week PGI mandated break from the forums, just last month... Cause I got a bit carried away with the use of the word "potato" :D

So I'm far from immune. In fact I've got a target on my back because I'm so passionate I get a bit carried away. I know that.

I just want MWO / FP to be awesome, it could be... But... PGI and silly users making flat out bad suggestions.

^This. It may take some time but everyone can become better pilots by analysing where they/the team went wrong in any given match. Not just Community Warfare but Quick Play in general and in the Competitive scene too.

Listening to other peoples constructive feedback, whether it's positive or negative should be taken on board. Regardless of whether people think so or not, everyone has their own individual strengths and weaknesses. It's up to us as individual pilots to try to strengthen our strengths and work on overcoming our weaknesses. Only by accepting this, can we all become better pilots.

No, it ruins the match for everyone else playing in it, makes it hard for your team, and it's just plain bad sportsmanship.

Last night I saw two members of the CWM unit eject three of their Mechs immediately on dropping, after they screwed up their first wave with a failed attempt to gen rush. I sympathise that it was a hard match from that point, however, abandoning the rest of their unit and the other players was unfair to everyone else in the match.

To see the glass half full, tough matches can be a learning opportunity. And I think we always owe the other players the follow-through on our commitment to a match.

Naw because a lot of people just disconnect when the odds become bullcrap. That is going to keep happening. As much as people like the idea of "reporting" it's no good. Like PGI is gonna ban it's tiny player base for not wanting to play an unfun match. Think about it. Force isn't gonna work on this one.

I don't see how the issue lies on both ends...? The only side it lies on is people thinking that it's ok for them to just walk away from a match that they committing to being a part of. Sorry, I am not interested in defending someone who just wants to look at the enemy, pee their pants a little bit and quit. Suck it up, work with your team and try something completely off the wall. Try to spread out as much as you can, run to a corner of the map away from your drop zone and force the enemy to come to you. Do something, any thing. Quitting is just sad.

Both ends, as being a part of team that is winning game. If you think that everybody is enjoying chasing some fleeing Locusts for next 20 minutes after first wave then you are wrong. For people who ain't farmers it's boring waste of time.

If after the first wave and the only thing left to worry about is a damn locust then there are bigger issues with that match.

One being a locust in CW, two farming potatoes, and three complaining that you had a mech left to roll over.

Comitting to? It's not a ******* marriage. I'm here to have fun and if I'm not having fun I'm ditching the match. I don't owe you or anybody else anything. I don't owe anybody a bad experience for myself in a goddaamned video game.

Way to exaggerate my point in an effort to deny the fact that there are consequences to your actions. You don't HAVE to keep playing, you won't go to jail if you don't keep playing but the people who see you do it will likely ridicule you, shy away from grouping with you and any number of things in an effort to let you know that they disapprove of that behavior. As long as you are ok with that, you do whatever the heck you want. All I was pointing out is that when people launch into a game...any game...they are expecting the other people to be present, try their best and finish the match out, within reason. Refusing to do that because "the other team is gonna win" just makes you look like a giant douche bag who isn't worth listening to.

So, you are correct, you don't "owe" anyone in this game anything, but if you live by that credo, everyone else in your matches owes you nothing either and are free to do whatever they please, without fear of repercussions, such as team killing, hiding and shutting down for the entire match, spawn camping, leaving the match whenever they want etc etc. Go ahead and preach your view bud, you better just be prepared to deal with the consequences because while I appreciate the "I am not responsible for other people's happiness" mantra, coming at it from an angle of complete freedom, with no social expectations allowed is tantamount to throwing a temper tantrum every time you don't get your way. And what I said initially was a social expectation. When you drop into a match, you are saying that you are there to do your best not only for yourself but for the rest of the team. You expect this of them (and rightly so) so they have every right to expect it from you. If you are unwilling to agree to this, go play some single player game and leave the PVP games to people with a bit more understanding of how to treat each other.

Contribute to what, to my own topic? Sorry but it's you making problems here.

And no, thing lies in Siege mode when you are defending. Skirmish too, but to lesser extent. Currently when modes are mixed it might be bit less of issue, but before last patch it was very common for game to get stuck at Siege for 5 hours without progress bar changing.
