Now the clan energy advantage has gone (especially in brawling), can we get faction tonnage equalised as well?. No way are clans dominant in scouting still- with lower tonnage and less brawl capable energy weapons they are already getting creamed- with more IS tech on the horizon, isn't it now time to equalise tonnage?

I am not complaining about OP this or that, or nerfs - I generally agree with the energy weapon changes- just saying the new balance should be reflected in FW

Wait too long and FW will be deserted (even more) as a game mode by one side- and that means fewer games for everyone- IS loyalists included.

According to Russ, the 25 ton advantage for the I.S. is not related to tech balance. It's because the clans have 25% more top tier players.

So until the mercs jump on the I.S. bandwagon, the tonnage won't change.

Try again after next months patch.

I agree, especially for domination. IS has a major advantage for brawling in domination because you're basically forced to hug each other. I actually don't mind the nerfs like you.

Forgotten about cSRM and cXL now have we?

The rebalance really is not that impactful especially when IS SPL got nerfed also (logically, NFI why). It just means a shifting of the META, nothing more.

Let's wait until after July. You get your C.SPL back in the form of the Heavy Small Laser (except shorter range).

Clans need to be taken down to 125 tons for their drop decks and 20 tons for scouting (yes, I know we don't have a 20 tonner. That's the point).

You're also forgetting the Clan XL engine advantage...let's wait for LFEs to drop along with the new tech before asking to adjust tonnage just yet.

Ironically, it is ALL about the tech balance (particularly Clan XL, LFE is still not good enough as it primarily replaces STD engines). Most good merc units go Clan preferably because of said tech.

The excuse doesn't really hold water when examined closely.

Sigh... Another "LFE" will save IS...

No, no it won't.

I'd like to know when the last time IS has won a planet of any sort in FW...I've only seen clan win time after time after time...for months. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

My unit bounces between IS and clan. We find it easier to win as clan than IS. This was before this last patch though. I expect its pretty close now. IS does have to take mostly standard engines vs good teams or they just insta melt. Unfortunately this also makes them slow which is a big disadvantage in conquest and unless you boringly camp your base in Assault.

when the new tech gets here. then consider messing with tonnage. not because it will make it totally balanced, but because the IS will finally have an equal amount of what i call "mercs of a comp mentallity," by which i mean the ones that would fit in perfectly in mrbc, div a."

Most EU/US MRBC Div A players have not stepped foot in FP in a long, long time.

New tech won't magically make them start playing it. Oceanic gets a few Div A OC players on drunk Fri but that's about it.

The most common result the last 6 months has been - stalemate. No side winning, why? Cause population is so low it's never enough to move the bar to one side fully/consistently each cycle.

The map moves very, very slowly.

Those numbers are weird. Why does Wolf have so many more wins? If Clan wins, ALL clan win. Something seems very strange here with how PGI is working that out.

That said in that time (May-Jun) there has been 37 days @ 3 cycles per day. Meaning 111 opportunities to take planets.

So most Clans having only 20 odd planets taken means there is far more stalemate than anything else, which is no surprise.

A better indicator might be the FP unit leader boards with active tags. KCOM has 2 tags, which should mean they have tagged at least 2 planets from the IS side in the last 7 days. MJ12 has 4, but I'm not certain their MJ12 unit is IS only anymore.

Unless tags carry over, then yes IS has won phases in the last 7 days.

Planets aren't counted as a scouting win/factor though.
