Liao is still an ally after 4th succession war and the re-rise of Cap Fed. Marik, Liao, and Karita had a pact against FCom. Then Mark, Liao, and Taurian had the Trinity Alliance against Davion after FCom civil war. Later Marik did suffer a lot and almost disintegrated under Lyrian as they had planted a double leader, Thomas Marik. So Marik from the point of this MWO game timeline is a long time ally of Liao in a number of initiatives later.

We've got every intention of laying into the Davion posse and a truce, whether official if the community pillar allows that sort of thing or unofficial, will give you guys the space to put the boots to a Steiner organization that probably has you outnumbered to begin with. Plus it will go a long way to helping us against the the comically self-important Davion players and our quest to turn their chunk of the map into a shriveled rump state.

On a related note, historically the Lyran Commonwealth has been the perennial enemy of the FWL, a hatred that only intensified with the formation of the Federated Commonwealth, and extended to the Federated Suns. In the aftermath, the Capellan Confederation and Draconis Combine were nominally allies against the Federated Commonwealth.

That said, the FWL's biggest enemy is, and always has been, the FWL.

I too vote Steiner as our mortal enemy. Liao you can't trust em farther than you can through an Atlas, but they are our allies on paper.
