I'll be there. My dakka sense is tingling, and I have a feeling there will be some civil war tech reveals.

I just hope it's been advertised enough to get a showing from the less fanatical portions of the player base.

The only reason there will be a high level of viewing is the amount of people that will want to rage in the twitch chat about just how bad things are right now.

Skill Maze - good idea, horrible implementation
FP 4.2 "Coming in April" - is now, Nov?
Laser Balance - shot in the dark.
Overall mech balance - eg. 100T assaults still suck balls
Comp Mode - the LUL is real here

Should be sweet to see all the marination going on in twitch chat. In fact it might be the only reason I watch.

I'd like to see the game improve. In an attempt to stay optimistic, I think the biggest thing they SHOULD be asked is how PGI will promote the timeline advancement and new tech dropping in July. This is an extremely good chance for them. I'd hate to see it go to waste.

Not sure if I can be there, but someone scream about colorblind support, HTAL, IK, and the other Clans being added as factions if I'm not doing it. The first three are incredibly important, and need to be yelled towards PGI constantly :P

"Russ hopes for a lot of people..."

This is like the best set up for so many one liners:

-ahem-

"Well then, maybe he should try making a better game."

"Wait he wants a lot of people? Then maybe he should stop driving them away!"

"Why? Has he got a particularly good insult lined up this time?"

"A lot of people? Did he get a new bucket?"

"Wait...is he planning to block us ALL?"

Etc.

Edit:
Last townhall I just kept asking different versions of the same question: "Would you please explain the elimination or reduction of the offensive quirks on low tier mechs as indicated on the Skills tree PTS pdf documents?"

I Asked it 6 different times. It was ignored. All they would have had to say, is "we are backing off from most of those quirk changes", which they in fact did. If they can't/won't answer a question like that, then what's the point.

TBH, semi-staged, off-the-cuff discussions with somebody who says one thing and then changes it later is not interesting for me. I'm not going to get any dependable or reliable information from it, and obviously it gives them no time for thinking about or preparing an answer. So it's basically just an opportunity for them to shoot out some prepared blurbs and pretend they are 'connecting with the community'.

I'm not razzing Russ or anyone over this, that's exactly what happens when you stage interviews and expect someone to come up with answers on the fly rather than taking the time to do your homework and write up a proper communication. It is probably useful for PGI to at least get some degree of community input on it. It's just not something I will spend leisure time on.

They have a community forum, it's right here, it's called 'the forums'. Yes it's full of salt and bittervets; it is still the proper place to communicate with your own game.

They are only going to take softball questions from those that have been giving them thumbs up on everything they did the last two patches. So why waste my time?

Had enough IRL of "Stay the course, thousand points of light" "Trickle down economics" "Change (really more of the same)", don't need to hear that in a game.

Edit - Forgot to add the most favorite one of all time "We won't know what is in the bill until we pass it." Sound familiar?

Ask that each day of Russ and by the end of the week you'll have seven different answers...
