Okay, so to score this one a pilot has to be in a heavy or assauly and kill or kill most damage a medium mech. Which means most people will be in the mech one needs to use to win the challenge with few in the requried target mechs. (Mainly players not interested in the challenge that happen to also play ligher mechs).

Was that really a good design choice?

Accuracy I and II run concurrently. There is no lack of targets.

Actually, the category is broader, and easier, than that.

Acc1
Be in a light or medium, kill or kmdd a heavy or assault.

Acc2
Be in a heavy or assault, kill or kmdd a light or medium.

So, as Spheroid said, there shouldn't be a lack of targets on either side. At least, until most folks finish acc 1, then the medium and light population will plummet to their usual levels.

Already done with both challenges. Didn't notice any shortage of targets. BTW, a Linebacker with 6xMPL is an excellent light/medium hunter ;)

The only flaw with this challenge was disallowing it to be completed in Faction Warfare.

Why is that a flaw?

Scouting is irrelevant (mediums/lights only, not useful for this part of the event) and mediums/lights are not exactly common in Invasion mode (perhaps 1/4 mechs in a drop deck?).
So, yes, you could allow it in FW, but at best it would be a slow and unproductive way to complete the challenges?

after having terrible luck in a "skill"backer i just grabbed my boom whammy and went for mediums. finished in 2 games after that. going the other way i had a lot of luck in a jenner iic and boomschwack.

just go for a good solid mech in one of the appropriate weight class and prioritize mechs of the other 2 classes.

The Light version took me a bit of effort to make sure I was last hitting the enemy, or harassing the crap out of an assault to get the points.

I finished the Heavy version without even realizing it. If you played instead of making and checking this thread, you'd be done already. :P

Because I want to do the challenges, and I don't want to waste my time playing Quickplay when I could be dropping in CW.
