Five Steps To Open Wallets

2. Fixing the quirk system has to be the priority. If a mech is released with quirks then it needs to keep similar quirks throughout it's life. The ST should not cause quirks to be removed, just reduced. Do a comprehensive pass on all mechs and all quirks and fix them. Then leave them alone as much as possible. Quirks are part of the selling point for mechs and you can't just treat them as easy to adjust balance points.
3. The Skill Tree design has to be changed. This should be the baseline starting point and adjustments made once it looks like this.
4. Change how mechs are sold. Sell mechs individually with a small discount for buying three and a bigger discount for buying five. Camo packs, decal packs, color packs, cockpit item packs, etc. to stop forcing MC as the only option and put some deals up for cash. Early adopters should get premium time, unique camo/decal. Late adopters just get some premium time. Post release you just get the mechs.
5. Start using the forums to communicate with the players and listen to their feedback. Twitter and Twitch can not be the primary means of communication. Get on the forums, ask questions, talk about planned changes, run some polls. Be freaking active on your own freaking forums.

I would also buy custom geometry for my mechs. Different Atlas's skulls, Cent's mohawks, shields, maybe Wolverine's Chin-turret, Battlemaster's bubble cockpit, that sorta thing.

I pretty much agree with you, these sort of step would be ideal .
The things I have issues with currently are like you the lack of maps, the constant changes and nerfs and I really would like to see a revamp of the mech pack system to allow us to buy what we want rather than be forced into buying a ton of mechs we don't want to get the things we do. I don't really have too much of an issue with the skill trees though they still could be improved.
To Expand on my list of issues:
As it stands now between the lack of maps and map voting which forces only 3-4 maps on to us, I do start to find the game play to be kind of tedious. I mean I have had a 10x multiplier and have not been able to force Terra Therma through so that right there is showing there is an issue with the map voting. Like someone else said, we experience the "Tyranny of the Majority" when it comes to maps.
As far as the nerfs and changes, this one is really starting to get to me. Every time there is a patch, I cringe in anticipation of finding that some mech or build or weapon I enjoy is going to get nerfed. Even after the small changes to the energy weapons we had in the last patch, I have some builds that I used to think were perfect that I am struggling to enjoy simply because the heat moved up just enough to make the build heat inefficient or because the CER MLs new beam duration makes them awkward to play with. Then we have mechs like the Marauder IIC and Kodiak which aren't anything like the mechs I purchased and enjoyed. It just gets so damn old having to rebuild my mechs over and over or to find that a mech I enjoyed enough to compel me to log into the game gets squashed and is now not enjoyable to play. Frankly I am tired of the changes. The game has been out 5 years and while I know balance is an ongoing process, it should be small things here and there, not sweeping changes. Basically I crave the stability of knowing that my gaming experience isn't going to change on a whim.
Lastly the mech packs. I keep looking at them and say, "I would really like to have that Uziel 6P but I am not going to play $15 extra for the reinforcement pack to get it" or "I would really like try out a variant Annihilator because can't ever see me wanting to own 3 of them. I really just want to buy what I want from the packs and would probably spend more money that way. Instead I often decide to just not buy anything.

The Rifleman IIC would make my wallet explode like a flowing river of cash revenue into PGI's bank account.
Just think about that PGI.

(Enjoyable new game modes would be great (please remove escort again - it's not fun)).
2. Mmm there needs to be balance. Finding a way to balance that was more fun would be mint. (Maybe there are more people that like the mobility changes than not, but personally it's big turn off)... also more iterative less sledge hammer like... (cspl are getting removed from all builds that I'm currently using).
Transparency on balance data... cos some of pgis changes seem like they are playing a different game to me...
3. I'm meh on ST, it's useable. If they were to make the worthless nodes more meaningful like jam chances etc... cool
4. Also value added back into $20 mech packs... like prem time...
5. More forum interaction would help, don't think I'll ever understand why twitter/Ngng streams are used over their own forums...

IS Omnis (Raptor, specifically) would do the same for me.
They said no IS Omis until 2018 at the earliest. Last time I asked, they said likely in 2017. Boo-hiss.

Maps
Better value in Mech packs.
Skill tree cost reduction. Keeping pilots helps convince them to spend money

1. Make maps feel fresh. I don't mean add new maps immediately. I mean change spawn points, get rid of voting for maps and have a hard coded rotation, change some boundary lines on the big maps to make smaller maps (like using just the west side of Polar instead of the whole thing), and introduce some kind of player competition for map design (even if it's just 2d maps to build upon).
After 5 straight matches on Polar Highlands I agree.
Abolish map voting. Pick weight class before dropping into a game, and select mech from weight class after finding out what map rotation they're on.
Roll quickplay into Faction Warfare

While the ammount of thought and efford you made is commendable, going completely contra the NOW IMPLEMETED mechanics of a game (skilltree) is completely contraproductive. (If i have to hazard a guess you got a bit overhyped by your percieved positive feedback on youtube, 1800 and somewhat clicks when I looked that isn't a representative ammount of backers when you see the population at over 30k players regularely)
No Developer whill just topple their current build of a game just because some clever Youtube guy made a vid.
Go with what is and make constructive suggestions based on the current state of the game no 180° turns and somebody may listen through your first sentence and even come back for more when you come with something else.
But just throwing in completely new stuff is something that will disqualifie yourself from the view of the devs.

1 sure
2 Nope that is not how balance works also quirks are not a selling point they can be changed at will, which is how every game pvp game works they nerf a value here or buff something there.
3 Maybe
4 Nope when you buy mech packs you pay to get them early and that is all, if they ever add an a la carte they you will pay more for it not less.
5 sure

There's no issue, except for your perception maybe.
10 x 1 is only 10. In a lobby with 24 people, only 11 people would have to vote for a different map to invalidate your 1 vote, even if your single vote still counts as 10 votes. So if you're PUG'ing, the other 11 people on your team can immediately invalidate your vote. Especially if they've got multipliers on their votes as well.
That is the only problem with map voting. Even if the multiplier went up to x20 your one vote wouldn't be enough.
