So from what I can understand about the bonus loot bags you can earn through buying stuff:

A. Earn a "Pick a Prize" Every 20 Loot bags you acquire! (You can acquire loot-bags from Daily and/or Bonus redeems)
B. You have until July 24th 5 PM PDT (July 25th 12 AM UTC) to earn Bonus redeems through Pre-orders.
C. Jul 17th 4:59:59 PM (PDT) / Jul 17th 11:59:59 PM (UTC) < the last time period you can earn other than Pre-Orders
D. You have until July 24th 5 PM PDT (July 25th 12 AM UTC) to redeem your "loot bags" and select and redeem "Pick a Prize" rewards.

Sooo. I take this to mean that anyone not getting their 150 bags of loot by the 17th 4:59.59 PM (PDT) then have up to the 24th 5pm PDT to buy bonus Pre-orders that are listed to earn bags.

Caveat. D, that is a big warning. While yes you can buy pre-orders up to that time on the 24th, it does also happen to be the deadline to redeem any loot bags and picks.

So you are only 5 bags off? Buy a Hero Pre-order. 20 bags off? Buy a Civil War Escalation Pack.

If you were thinking about getting the packs anyway (I know I have been looking at a Hero Pack) and you need those loot bags for those cool patterns, then there you go! Looks like I might be taking a closer look on the 18th on what packs I may desire... :-)

With the Roughneck coming out for C-bill next month, if i choose them as my prize cammo will it still be recognized even though i dont own one yet? (looking to get one down the track)

They could have made it max 30 the first, max 40 the next period (with overshooting matches placeable into the first period) but kept the total. That would have helped people finish and at the same time prevented people from finishing too soon.

It's unfortunate, but sometimes your chosen time sink for recreation doesn't fit neatly into real life. I feel your pain, and I fail to get everything unlocked some events as well due to doing things like taking kids to events or being out of town etc...but that's the point of real life. It simply IS.

This is a decent format, it just doesn't work well for you this time.

I feel this pain quite often. I travel constantly and between my laptop and hotel internet, MWO is unplayable.

I missed 2/3rd of the last event, will definitely miss next week.

I'll take whatever free shinies I can get. Some events are better than others in that regard.

Still, this is one of the better types of events that PGI has run. Pick a prize is nice.

It's no big deal but I'm a "completionist". It's more about completing than the bags themselves. As I've been saying, I suspect the goal is to stretch out the event but they could tack on a day at the end as a "clean up day" where your matches count. It wouldn't go against the goal since no one who can avoid it would play 30+ matches the last day.

Was the intention to include ALL of the premium color palette? The way this is worded sounds like you are saying that not every color from every pallet is available, just the premium color palette itself. In the context of you specifically numbering the decals, war-horns and standing items it makes it sound as though the specifics of colors available is limited to premium color pallet in its entirety (as in no colors from other pallets) Unfortunately for us its not the entire premium color pallet... A bit disappointed but more so frustrated that I have to cross check the premium color pallet vs the actual list of event colors from said pallet.

Any chance you will take pity on us as it was your poor wording that caused the frustration/disappointment in the first place? I know I was REALLY looking forward to Hellblau and Manganise and it looks like several others were really looking forward to their picks also.

Edit: Also, in the future would it be possible to make the rewards appear under either the "sales" tab or a newly created "event" tab? Having to hunt down each event item for inspection is quite time consuming honestly.

Thanks for getting the 3-Day Section Timer up. It's actually really handy.

Also, this is a Good Event Format that you folks at PGI have launched this time... NEVER LOSE IT! This should be done again, but with the positive Minor Enhancement of allowing Players to catch up bags they missed during previous 3-Day Sections. That way, those with Jobs or other Real Life things could still deal with those, then come back to their computers when they have time, and still have the same chance as everyone else to get their Loot Bags. I understand it's hard to program, but it would definitely make a lot of your Player Base thankful. Just don't forget to program it as equally so that nobody can get an early start on a 3-Day Section that hasn't begun yet.

yes. All mechs currently available to play in game are available as camo picks. So that means every mech released up to the last full mech model pack, which was the Javelins in May. The only mechs not available are those in the upcoming civil war and civil war:escalation series. So no camo patterns for the Annihilator, Nightsky, Mad Cat Mk2, Nova Cat, Uziel, Cougar, Arctic Wolf, and Osiris.

WTF is this??? I come home, knowing that it's July 11th, and knowing that July 11th (in Vancouver) ends in 5 hours, and I'm thinking. 6 more matches, Sweet. So, I'm going along and my matches aren't registering.

So, I'm coming home from a long day thinking: Phew, home in time to get my stuff in before midnight, and guess what? PGI time is not Vancouver time. It's some time in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean or some crap. So now, I won't get the 150 points I was dedicated myself to during this event. I was excited to earn the patterns. But now, I cannot. i can't make up for lost time either, because I didn't get my 30/30/30 before it turns midnight in the Falkland Islands or scome crap. This blows monkey nads. Who does that??

I thought I had till the end of next day and missed one loot bag. I will now get 149 if I stay with the course. I actually thought I had gotten all 30 , but I guess I sucked in one and only got 89 match score. I vote for a 10-15 bag cushion.

For the last several events going back into the spring perhaps even winter, PGI has simplified things by basing event times off of GMT which I can understand for us NA folk is weird but on an international level it at least makes sense and, depending on your definition of "fair", is fair.

Also, as D V mentioned above, PGI now has a *VERY* handy countdown timer on the event page so that regardless of where you live, you know how many hours are left in a 3-day period.

Yeah. I get it, MovinTarget. It's not like PGI wasn't clear about it. As your typical late night gamer, I picture the day ending when the sun is rising and I'm finally exhausted enough to go to sleep. I just felt knocked down a notch when I found out I f--ked up. It's discouraging.

We've been begging them for new maps, and some of us are still holding out hope they'll add combined arms, and economy, supply lines and other faction warfare stuff to give meaning for the endless battles we play in. So, like many folks, I'm playing for the breadcrumbs of extra stuff while we wait for these features to be introduced. When PGI keeps dragging their heels on these new features, you gotta rev yourself up to play, keep your unit together, etc... I guess as a unit leader, I feel the acute pressure of trying to remain optimistic in the face of the big empty. And so, when I do set my sites on something - even earning these little do-dad loot bag events - I go full bore into it. It's not like I personally NEED the stuff in the loot bags, but the events give me a goal at least. The more of us working together toward that goal, the more fun as a unit we have. When that goal is snatched away (it feels that way, even though I f--ked up), it just takes the wind out of my sails. Now when I play, I play to support the other players in my unit, but it's no longer as much fun.

I have another guy in the unit that started late, but didn't realize it, and he was talking to me about the patterns, trying them out and stuff in the mechlab. I told him he was too late to earn the patterns and I heard the same disappointment out of his lips that I typed about when I realized I messed up last night. Now there's two of us in the unit marking time, playing to support the unit, but with the cloud of disappointment looming over our drops. It's just a bummer. Oh well. Maybe I should just take a break from the game and return when PGI adds some depth to the game? At least some new maps? Return when there's reason to play other than do-dads and goody-bags. Sigh....

Then buy something and get bonus bags. $10 for a clan wave2/IIC hero light and that's 5 bonus bags and a pattern unlock. $15 for the Osiris early-adopter standard pack gets you 20 bags.
