It was noticeable when we had the module, I guess...but I don't use it now...and yet I haven't noticed any difference...

Lastly, it also gives information if you have been spotted / targetted when flanking or behind enemy lines. 60% RD means that other 40% you are on the radar AND you dont get info wheteither you have been targetted. For a fragile light without direct support, this information is of the highest value.

Important note: Radar Deprivation does not tell you when you are targeted - it tells you when target lock has been broken (i.e. when the module takes effect.) If you expect to get a flash and chirp when you first pop up on someone's radar, you're in for a nasty eventual surprise.

Actually, there is one other side benefit from causing people to lose locks immediately.
The less time you stay locked, the less time they have for TIG to take effect, which means they are less likely to know where you are vulnerable.
Of course, people actually using the 'R' key is kinda hit or miss, so...

@VoidAngel

I would use "quote" but my current browser barely functions as is.

On to the subject at hand, are you positive about that information? Chirps on lock is one of the primary things I thought were a benefit of the Dep.

If that is the ACTUAL case, and you only get a chirp on LOSS of lock, that is still benficial, but changes how I need to react to those things.

VoidAngel has it correct.

You get NO WARNING when somebody targets you (using 'R').

You do get a warning (chirp and flash) when somebody loses you as a target.

Tested in field conditions consistently. Think about it, the first warning you get when somebody has locked you for LRM fire is the missile warning, not a little noise and light.
