While I do love the events and am always happy to see more - the OP has a point.

This has been one of the more successful PTS sessions so far - Phase 1 a lot of people were underwhlemed and a lot of feedback was given - guess what! PGI acted swiftly to adress at least a good portion of the issues.

Right now more testing is doing us a lot of favours for the new tech so yes it is a little odd that they would have the event during testing, its not the end of the world but I thought getting testing feedback would have been more important than an event right now.

Like I say im happy with it all im just backing up the OP's point as I get what he is trying to say.

The new tech has pretty hard scedule. Although in theory anything can be postponed, but the mechs sold have the new tech along with them, and those mechs have a deadline next patch. So the PTS rounds must come before that.

And it's summer, so kinda summer and events go together too. Therefore we have PTS and events.
