So i just got the PTS, after grueling hours of download. Not everyone has good internet connection!

Anyways, i fell in love again. With an RAC5 urbie, i mean look at that, that's just beautiful.

The RAC2 however, it needs to be scaled up, about halfway in having the same diameter as the RAC5's barrel cluster. Funny combination though, I used RAC2 + 3x LMG.

If I have time, I want to try the R63 with a HPPC + 2xML.

I could go 4x ERML + RAC2 on the R60L, or 2x ERML + RAC5 on the R63.

The question is, using RACs requires face time, is the urbie durable enough to stare at the foes?

RAC5 is the size the 2 should be, the 5 should be 10-15% bigger, but at least looks decent. Shame they are total crap to use. Considering what you have to give up to mount one, especially.

Yeah, actually he is, though his arm is the easiest thing to pop. Problem is RACs are so bad, even with face time as to not be worth it. ATM I'll stick to my UAC5 over any RAC, and that's just sad.

You must be joking. Urbie is OP, even more so with new tech. Even Fatlases don't match up to the sheeer Urbieness.

I've ran with AC10 + 2x ML, getting an RAC5 + 2x ERML is far easier due to lighter tonage. The problem is that they really need to rework the RACs into an archetypal overheating-MG and make the RAC much more decent weapon to stare at. Right now, it's too random that risking a stare doesn't necessarily mean a good amount of damage cause random Jam.

It's not the ammo that's the issue - it's all the drawbacks in the weapon. It's a facetime weapon with severe limitations on facetime. The spin up and down time, the limitations on firing time, coupled with velocity and general usability issues make it the biggest disappointment on the PTS for me.

Even with the new buffs, it's still difficult to use, and situational. I've taken UAC's or even vanilla autocannons where possible, and do much better with them.
