This sounds like cellophane bag of some sort not like military equipment.

I like it better than the other laser sounds except the IS large and ER large. It evokes ozone and lightning to me. "ZAP!" The one I don't like is the Clan ER lasers, that sounds like some dude spitting on a city sidewalk.

I quite like the sound, I think they sound more powerful than the clan heavy lasers do.

Now, the isUAC/10 and is LB-X series, on the other hand...those sound properly awful. Except the LB-10X, but that one's old.

Sometimes they sound like medlaser s... heavyppc sound sometimes like std ppc and i got rac5 that sounded and acted like uac5... some sort of bugs out there

Subjective. I personally like the sound. Machine guns on the other hand sound pathetic, but it doesn't really affect me playing the game.

There is a video someplace of some character replacing the sound effects in MWO open beta with "pew pew pew." It is called the "Pew Mod" and the video will make you choke on whatever you're drinking-it's hilarious.
