Playing around in 3DS Max with MWOs Marauder asset.

I recently discovered the automatic walk cycle in the character animation tools. All I had to do was build a rig for it and play with a lot of curves and stuff.

I might do a Locust or a King Crab next to see what it can achieve there before manual intervention.

Also made the shader graph so that I can input the three colours for the skins.

The render looks amazing. I feel the automatic walk cycle doesn't do the mech justice. It's too gentle, lacking any of the torso bobbing or shaking that really gives a mech oomph and weight.

nice job! do you think you can make them 'signature' size so they fit in 720*80 pixels?

Thanks. You can paste their URLs into an online gif resizer easy enough if you want to use them.

King Crab stalk and King Crab morning jog animations.

Also gave a decal a go on the RasalCrab with the chaos symbol.

I kinda want to do some taunt animations now. Something MWO has been lacking for far too long :P

There are tuts on this forum, not sure what they are like since I didn't need them. But to get .obj files that's the program you need.

Some keyframe animation for fun. This is pretty much a copy of the warm-up taunt the light mechs can use in Hawken. It took about 8h to recreate...

Also a custom six machine gun Pirate's Bane. I gave it rotating chin guns so it can pitch its CT forward while running. Because it looks cool.
