Are There Bots In Qp?

A week ago I lost a game on grim plexus. There were only 2 players alive on our team. A trenchbucket and a panther. I watched the trenchbucket and the movemen pattern, targeting and weapon usage was very very strange. Then I switched to spectate the panther and it used nearly exactly the same strange patterns. Switched between the two mechs till they were rolled by the enemy team and the behavior pattern was strange and identical.
Are there bots in QP? Is this commen and does anyone else experience such strange patterns?

No, but there's certainly laggy players perhaps. Try turning off servers if they are over 200ms or so.

Son, if PGI had AI for this game advanced enough to do that the VIP in Escort wouldn't be such a *******.

Bots would be an improvement over some players I've seen. Also, keep in mind that what you see in spectator mode isn't a 1-to-1 representation of how the player is moving their mouse, where they are firing, or when they're firing. It's off a bit.

Plot twist: Piggy made the escort AI ******** on purpose, so nobody would suspect them. Meanwhile, they develope bleeding edge neural network AI for MW5, and use MWO to train it. Wake up, Neo!

There used to be cbill bots years ago but I hadn't seen any of them in a long time. I think most of them dropped off when cbill rewards were changed so doing this earns very little.

what's sad is you kids would not notice if there are AI bots

just like when you used go to Game Stop and the guy told you it was a great deal to trade in your $56 game for a used game

I dont know what happens sometime but i firmly believe there is some kind of attempt at creating a AI to play this game.

over the years there has been some really odd games but the oddest was semi recently about 4 months ago .


was on frozen city conquest .

I took off in my dragon to quick cap theta ,a enemy raven came along, ran straight to me i promptly kill it. it did not return fire nor did it even try to evade it just ran up to theta and stopped right in front of me .

I thought that was odd but continued on as normal, the enemy team was all loosely around theta most exposed and very few returning fire . Our team pretty much surrounded the enemy team and proceeded to shoot fish in the barrel . i watched dire wolves get cored form the rear, with out even a torso twitch or a single alpha . Other mechs were not even returning fire. while others that were moving were just doing so in straight lines and no attempts to evade or use cover. it was just surreal .

the match was over extremely quick a complete stomp no chasing lights no hiding mechs no attempts to even cap a point. the enemy numbers were shockingly low. it was the strangest MWO game i have ever played.

Yep. I suspect the game has been full of bots for a couple of years now.

Some of these happen because parents let their young children play. When they're really young they just turn in circles shooting.

I don't know. Maybe they lost a few points in the... you know what? Never mind. Just leave them at potatoes and call it a day.

If PGI has bots I hope they're added to the academy or something. I need something to duel when I get bored with the main game.

People can have old hardware,internet problems, lag spikes and all sorts of things hit them and you'll spectate it wondering wtf is going on. When I get hit hard with the lag spikes fps drops like a rock,mechs teleport like my own as when I'm in a light and suddenly I'm 1-2 map grids from where I was.Mechs will also run in place or walk into/through things like rocks or walls before disconnecting.

You might also be watching some one who is very new to the game or like my brother's kid with autisim still trying to remember that torso and legs move independently. Another possibility is that pilot might be a great (mech class) pilot but playing a mech class they are not at all experienced in. I find myself doing below 300 damage games and rookie mistakes when I play assaults simply due to the fact I'm far more use to my lights where I can survive making fatal mistakes in positioning having the speed to get away. In the assault I get hammered hard for the mistakes and take a lot of damage if not out right destroyed.
