So i was a direwolf in polar highlands, 2x gauss rifle + 2x LPL + 6x ERML. Incursion match.

I knew i was ****** the moment i stepped in that map as a direwolf. I ordered my teammates to huddle on H9, that center battery. But wouldn't you know it, ******* decided to chase lights, on the left battery, and we ended up going around to our enemy's base. We took the long way around, wasting so much of my time.

We didn't get there, we got intercepted, and flushed by our enemy. Upon the push, i only ever fought 1 mech, and Atlas. Did 559 damage to it, but it didn't die. Lol.

Some guy, whose name is equivalent to killing himself -- no really, his name was really really close to that, if it weren't wrongly spelled. He's that potato lurm-boat, though he's not asking for locks, yet, he did said that LRM boats "r" key to battle -- literally inflating his self worth as one of the potato lrms out there. And you know what he did? He said "most damage", yet only 319.

LRM boats are not "key" to battles... they are amazing Support platforms if built & used correctly, you do actually need SOMETHING to Support though. Doing only 319 damage in a LRM boat on Polar means that it was not built or used correctly cause there is no excuse for that level of fail.

Yeah that all sounds pretty standard for quickplay, but its a mixed bag, your next game might be all brawlers etc, its just a madhouse.

LoL, fair enough but try it in a splatclops Posted Image

I see crazy silly stuff all the time that infuriates me in the moment, larges and assaults running from a fightable front line to flank attack, aka flee, and get overrun. Lurm boats firing streams into teammates backs with no regard. People backing away from hills while a brawl is going on and they aren't even being shot at, angry shot callers who turn out to be the guy hiding behind everyone and ignoring their own advice etc etc. I sometimes end up in silly situations too, like alone as an assault in the enemy base on incursion. Or just recently I managed to kill myself extremely early through heat damage, even though I could've sworn it was within a reasonable threshold.

All in all, it's just QP, try not to forget that there's a good chance every one of your teammates is on their first game, or playing a mech class/weapons they have never tried before, or farming an event, or is drunk off their head, or is just a terrible person in general.

It was surprising when you killed yourself so early in that match but it was with a large group of fails on our team anyways.

I was the most surprised one I assure you, my CT was yellow at worst and my heat gauge was on 93 when I exploded.

I had just opened and cherry red an atlas CT, and minced up a jager, but still, SOOOOO much wasted armor, I felt like an *** for sure. At least we won lol.

On polar highland no less too, I really don't know how that one happened.. Maybe 3 or 4 severe heat hits to CT in a row that didn't register until late? IDK.

Always feels terrible when you can not contribute to the match.
First match in the Blr-1g they gave away recently got hit with 4 strikes. Domination match pushed forward to secure the circle ended up pinned in place.

Sometimes there really is nothing you can do differently to positively affect the outcome. That feeling of weakness / helplessness / whatever really sucks all the fun out of the game.

Gah the recent and seemingly growing lack of regard for the circle in domination is another one, at times I feel like a sucker for being the one trying to get in there, but then I realise, if I didn't these guys would just let the game end after 1 minute, because they literally couldn't care less.

I was talking about on Crimson Strait when you did it the other day and we lost... someone else was posting about how "Teir 1" players gave orders that no one followed which would have made us lose regardless. It was a level of idiocy by the poster that really struck me which is why I recall the match off the top of my head.

Ah in that case (can't remember exactly), then it was likely me getting attacked by multiple enemies early and dying in battle, the heat death in many cases for me is just an unlucky occurrence for an enemy shooting me and me shooting him as I am about to die.

That polar highlands one was different than most in that I had only taken about 15 damage to my armor, and wasn't being shot at at the time I exploded, it was basically all me killing myself Posted Image Which is rare.

With my new PC has come the unfortunate side effect of my cheap mic not working properly with it, so for the last couple of weeks I have been mostly incommunicado, which I do not like and which makes things much more difficult than they should be.

the Logitech G933 is pretty sweet... but I use all Logitech peripherals like a G13 & G600 as well as a cheap Logitech keyboard, so I might be biased.

Yeah probably biased ;D

If its under 30 bucks I'll take it! hehe

Honestly though kek, I remember playing a number of games with you what just last night, and I can only remember good times from them. I try to give a lot of leeway in QP games and still managed to get frustrated at people, but the games with you in them were fine from memory, it is possible I couldn't even hear the guy >.<

But yeah I had a run of 3 really crappy, frustrating games in a row, where people did nonstop silly stuff and just threw the game away, to the point where I was complaining in faction chat, and telling myself not to trust other players as usual.

And then my next 4 games I had to struggle to keep up with the crazy deathball assault charges and great team plays, so the mixed bag idea is just the reality. Even playing with someone you know to do certain things in the past is no indication they brought the same style of mech this time. No pregame comms = madhouse, in a very basic sense.

Man, I think I've got you beat with one I just played, Shifty. Incursion on Forest Colony, so it was a shitshow from the start.

In the end it's down to 4v2. Myself, in my quad AC/2 Rifleman, and a teammate in a Trebuchet, vs. an ERLL Arctic Cheetah (which I'm pretty sure was legged, as I had stripped one and didn't see it after that), a streak Linebacker, a Stormcrow with a mixed build, and something else.

I was out in the water, and had been for most of the match, shooting up the side lanes at the enemies taking cover and at the ones on top of the buttes. They all know where I am, so I make legs along the coast, turning at the stream to confront the Stormcrow. He hurts me a bit (I was already cored CT), but I kill him and keep moving, looping around under the arch to push through the forest. I run into the Linebacker on the way; he blasts out my rear armor, I halve him and move on when he ducks away. Around that time, my last living teammate starts bitching about being the last one alive.

A while later he catches up again, I brawl and nearly kill him, but he manages to get a lock when his unknown teammate catches up and starts laying into me. I die and...

The friendly Trebuchet, which had been fresh, has lost half its armor shooting at the enemy base with its backup medium lasers. The guy still has missiles in the tubes. He ignores the seismic tells behind him and continues to shoot the base until he dies. There are four minutes left on the clock, so the enemy team wins handily.

Cue choice comments: "I couldn't help you, I was out of missiles!" (He had missiles left.) "What was I supposed to shoot them with?" (Apart from the four medium lasers?) "Those were backups!" "I did more than you anyways!" (He did less than half of my damage, had no kills and few assists, and was on the bottom half of the team statistically.)

I mean good ******* god. There are oblivious taters, but I've never met someone so aggressively determined to lose.
