I bought the Medusa Viper seeing it having a good weapons suited for boom and zoom tactics and given its speed like a light it can also fill the roll as a scout armor isn't very strong and hardpoint wise doesn't offer much in terms of weapon variety though it does have access to omnipods but that would remove the 30% CB bonus one of the main reasons why I bought it and so far I had some decent success with it and so I would like to ask what weapon set up could I try to improve my chances of surviving while dishing out decent damage right now my viper set up is 6 C-ER SML lasers three on each arm, a C-LRM 10, and AMS. Any tips or build suggestions are welcomed and appreciated as always.

Changing the pods didn't remove the 30% cbill bonus for me.
The CT identifies it as variant, and such the cbill bonus is tied to that. You can't change the CT.

the cbill bonus is linked to the Center Torso, so provided you put other pods on the Medusa (identified by the CT) it keeps the bonus, if you take pods off and put them on e.g. the VPR-A you would not have the bonus.

my Medusa has the side torsos with the 2 B hardpoints from one of the other Vipers for 4 MGs with 6 small lasers (next week when they are released it will be upgraded to Heavy Machine Guns and Micro Pulse Lasers) and still gets the 30% cbill boost

Oh thank you for correcting me about how CTs work I thought it was tied to the a set and removing one would remove the CT would b the result.

The stock build really doesn't look that bad to me on that Viper. I might get rid of the ams and open up some weight options there. If you wanted something with a bit more range that you could hit and run with pretty effectively you could strip all the weps and add 5-6 er med lasers and heatsinks, and you'd keep your pod quirks which look pretty good. Kind of like a faster Nova. Heat management would be bad, but you should t really be in an extended firefight with it. Keep in mind this is just something I'd try, can't speak from experience on how it would work on that mech.

might try out the med lasers the heat sinks will be needed might have to chain fire a bit to avoid heat spikes than firing three at a time probably will ditch the ams to try out other weapon/pod layouts.
