I don't know if this topic was started earlier , but I have a small question concerning if I want to switch to the EU server when it opens , what will happen to my account here (with founder pack bounces) ?

as already explained:
there will be a one time opportunity to transfer the entire account to the european server system when it is online - but dont hold you breath so long...

I'm looking forward to an EU Server - I have terrible nightmares about transatlantic pings and being summarily pwned because it takes 2 seconds to do anything ^^

I hope we get concrete info regarding a eu release soon. Not counting on anything before september though.

Somehow I doubt we will see EU servers any time soon.

It would be great to have some information from PGI concerning the status of EU-servers, because atm. one of the biggest faults in the game is that you have to play with a ping of 150-200ms...

Dont hold your breaths, we lobbyed the devs hard in close beta and before that to tell us if/when they would set up a European server and what would happen to our accounts and all such.
The answer we got was as follows:
Russ Bullock, on 15 June 2012 - 10:10 PM, said: Okay European players, here is the answer you have been looking for: Yes you can buy the Founders Package and you will never be blocked from continuing to play on the North American servers. Also if we are able to set up servers in your region you will be given a onetime opportunity to transfer to those regions servers taking everything you own with you.
