The anni looks like its going to have 4 high mounted ballistics. Almost same height as the KDKs.
I mean it still has that giraffe neck so you gotta scoot up a git higher to hill hump, bit with some practice it might work.

I refuse to believe those neck spots will be for ballistics until the mech is in my hangar... but I guess there isn't really any other explanation for them. It's settled that these will be the best torso ballistic hardpoints IS will ever get, then. They took a lot of creative liberty with the locations- canonically they'd have all been at the height of the arms. I wouldn't expect the same treatment again if they were to add the Pillager or Thunder Hawk.
The only downside is that there is basically no way it's going to be able to fit under the HPG dish. I was certain that they'd make it just short enough to fit.
I any case, have to laugh at all the people that called it "DOA" lmao.

Maybe down in tier4-5 . In youre tier one the periscope on a slow mech is going to be really bad. People blow the sides off ebon like crazy if you put a small weapon box on the top. This mech is going almost 50% slower.
I hope they let it have 4xac10 because if not its doa.
Nah. Tier 1 isn't anything special- the tiering system is just an anti-seal clubbing mechanic rather than a stratified skill-based matchmaking system. If you haven't noticed the single-celled organisms in Tier 1 queue that haven't figured out how to target or run LRM Atlas or other failfits then you're not paying attention.
Quad AC5/UAC5/LB10X or twin AC20/UAC20 at shoulder height means that if you're looking at him, and he's looking at you, you're losing the trade. Even MAD-IIC-A or KDK-3 PPFLD would have to full expose to trade evenly against that- where they'd be spending more time twisting to get back into cover than they would shooting.
The "super epic doa tall mech" periscope meme doesn't mean anything because it's the cockpit sticking up- it's only bad if you're in something like the Archer where you'll get shot from things that you can't even target back, or in the Atlas where you'll spend like 3-4 seconds trying to bring your firepower to bare in a poke. Do the the Grasshopper or Banshee or Kodiak really suffer for being tall? No, because they have good hardpoint locations + big firepower.
