I know there is height obstacles in the game on mechs like the Atlas. For example the platforms on River City, the Atlas just barely fits his head under. I would maybe consider making the Annihilator a tad shorter.Posted Image

The Annihilator is one of the tallest mechs in Battletech, so no.

[Sarcasm]
Naaah, it needs drawback because 300 engine cap is not enough of a drawback already for this totally OP mech!
Also the following thread is totally rubbish as the potato population thinks that 300 engine cap is a MUST on Annihilator:
https://mwomercs.com...-mb-engine-cap/
[/Sarcasm]

I also had the same thought. Annihilator is too tall compared to the Atlas. It wil have problem on several maps fitting beneath stuff like bridges.

I personally think the scale is a bit off on all the mechs except the Cougar.

Mad Cat Mk II is a chicken walker with a long, cylinder-like upper body, so why the hell is it taller than Humanoid Mechs of the same weight? No other mech with similar characteristics is as tall or taller than their humanoid counterpart.

Same goes for the Uziel. When I saw how it compared in scale to the 50 ton Crab, I thought it was absurd. Again it is a chickwalker and while it isn't as long as the Crab, it is massively wide in comparison so again why the hell it is so much taller as well?

I almost feel like the models for these mechs were don't but a different 3D modeler at PGI and they screwed up on the volumetric scaling.

I don't give a hoot about lore... game balance is what matters.

If those things are truly volumetrically correct they're optical illusions playing tricks on my human eyes.

Three words: Union. Class. Dropship. Look up it's tonnage compared to it's internal volume. =)

but here in potatoland we treat everything as the same solid hunk of steel.. or at least that what everyone else basically whined to some extent, while i complained about volume not equating to mass and that some mechs were poorly scaled...

You do not go sticking a tool of this magnitude under a bridge. With impetus you become the flaming sword to sunder thine enemy, their emasculated hulls crushed by your dominating presence...

Henceforth the name Annihilator.

A mech of such terrible magnificence does not belong under a bridge.

You still have to run a fine line with online and lore. Without the lore I don't think this game would stand on its own.

This is coming from someone who doesn't even care about the lore but I know tons of people who wouldn't be here if it was just the game.

True... buuut, with the agility of an Atlas can you really call it hill humping?
You will need more than 5 sec for one poke.

with as much of the mech as you'd be exposing if there are twin guass rifles there, at distance itll be kind of hard to pick and poke effectively, especially if that whole head has the hitboxes spread out a little.

I guess we'll see. To me the mech is stupid but I got one and I'll enjoy it anyways <3 I'll figure out how to make it work.

Yes, MWO should be lore inspired but lore should not be a factor to balance stuff in here or force something to be lore if it makes no sense. IS LB-20-X slots for example. Or just take the original CERML stats... totally overkill.

Probably due to your range you can afford it yes.
Still feels strange to poke with a 100t mech.
The only 100t mech which was able to do that was the original KDK-3 (till the nerf bat ***** slapped it down).
