There are a few nice things here.
However, I wonder how it is intended to work with this new 'event trigger' for IS vs IS and even Clan vs Clan?
If we now have a way to trigger events in the IS vs Clan conflict, which revolves around capital planets, can that same option be used for the internal conflicts?
Or will it be something different? Some sort of 'victory point' measure for each house or clan to create a different event?
Obviously not in this patch, but is that where it is heading?

I think the guys at PGI wanted a bigger deal out of FedCom Civil War. This patch would be the last of the big clan invasion...for now.
If that's the case then I'm all for it. Just come out and tell us.

Previous info said we were advancing to the civil war era, but the patch notes say 3057, which is pre-Civil war. Why is that?

Cause we're actually a little prior to civil war - more of the operation bull dog era

I don't want to sound rude, far from it, but... why is it called the Civil War update then?

However I think we would be free sometime in the next year to advance the FP timeline to Civil War if we wanted to.-
I think our initial intention with Mechs and tech was to move to Civil War but when considering impact on FP we pulled back a few years
Posted on twitter not long ago so sound like civil war stuff will come out when they get the event menu they planned on working.

Yet PGI still sells it as Civil War.

Russ tweeted a couple of hours ago "Siege mode lovers rejoice we just made a change that will make the patch - a lot more siege. Update to patch notes coming."
Personally, I welcome this...

So we will still see IS drop 2 100 ton mech's back to back before they have to get in their PB... nice.

Contracts weren't reset
Leader boards weren't reset
Same old contract system.
At least the clan mercs will get paid.

Well if current tech advancements have shown how badly we will need even dropweights by now I don't know what will.
