MPL have not been used a lot, and you might see them even less now.

I see much more mpl ingame after energy rebalance.

It's not performing worse,

You did not really say why it is better now. It has less heat now, which was not that much of a problem after the skilltree. But it is still too hot to be a true brawl weapon though. Not enough range to stack with other lasers like LPL or ER-Large.

@sceii
All Laser builds are played more. The Skilltree makes them a lot better compared to other weapons types.

And have in mind that Small Pulse got a huge nerf as well. People who wanna use shortrange brawl Laser stuff are messing around with MPLs right now.

I keep it in mind, it's kinda only slightly useful brawly laser weapon today for clams.
I'd still trade it for ismpl or isml any day on my clan mechs.

In a way I think this may have some benefits to brawling perhaps.

It won't
After patch mpl will have even less heat efficiecny. And clans do not get ANY brawling weapon.(well we can consider hmg a brawling weapon)

I wouldnt say it is worthless it definately took a hit when it was finally at a decent place. PGI definately dont play this game often or well (at least those responsible at balancing), the CMpls are far too hot to be a brawling weapons but their range forces them to play as one. And prevalent brawling weapons have far better DPH values so Mpls are in a strange place. Poptarting imo is one thing i'd say this thing does well but SRMs do that better as well. TBH all we need is the original tabletop values, 7dmg 4 heat 360m range. Just making it more efficient at what it does, so it does have a valid place in the meta. Atm i'd still rank LPL+ERMed higher in terms of value to the team.

It's just sorta meh, but the cMPL was always that way. It runs cooler than cERML, but it's heavier with less range, which means you can't even put a targeting comp on to make up that range most times. The only reason to take it over cERML is if you don't have the criticals to fit more heat sinks, yet still have weight to spare.
