Chainsaw Jagermech Build

Treat each pair as a single weapon, so if you had 4 ultra ac2s, you would pretend that you have 2 ac2s. then you would click back and fourth between 2 fire buttons; hell, if some of em jam, then you end up with a kickass fire pattern after they unjam and try to sync back in. Best way to handle them without using macros like an *******. Haven't tried this scenario with 6 ultras yet though...... damn sure couldn't fit it on a jager anyway
Weapon Fire group
Ultra ac2 1 2 3 4
Ultra ac2 1 2 3 4
Ultra ac2 1 2 3 4
Ultra ac2 1 2 3 4
click mouse 1, then mouse 2, back and fourth like a pro!!!!
You will want to balance your engine (probably full XL) to allow for some extra heat sinks, a minimum of 2 extra 2(10) should be good. Ammo can be tricky but if you get the magazine skills you should be ok.
Anyway.... Ive never bothered to share a build before but... I think it would be funny if these jagers where all over the battlefield.

Edit: Try the Mauler. Works quite good with 6 of em.

The firerate is high enough (ballistic quirks + cooldown skills) and there is no jam chance at all.
It also saves weight which I put into 4 backup ML.
Loadout has been working all the time (~3 years), no matter what the current meta was.
Also works ok in a brawl if you're not up against SRM boats or other bomber-mechs.

I've played the same build on mine with ultras (couple of ERML for backup) and it does indeed perform - it's by no means optimal, but it's fun. 2 UAC2's and a RAC5 are nice too.
I play a little differently though; I offer a small animal sacrifice to the gods of Dakka, aim for the enemy's face and start clicking like i'm trying to set a record for clicking. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Just do something like 3 UAC2s and an RAC2. The RAC2 will blind whoever you are firing at and you can just keep double tapping the UAC2s to pulse waves of damage into them. Alternatively just bring a couple of RACs if you were just looking to annoy people.

How about 2 RAC/2s and 2 UAC/2s? On paper it seems pretty crap, but who knows?

Why not both?
I kept the S (or is it an A...I honestly don't recall) with 4AC2s and 4ML, because it is still a consistent performer and fun. I turned a DD into the 4UAC2 2ERML because I have always despised the asymmetric look of the 3UAC5s on that variant. I could care less if the 4UAC2s is good or bad...cuz at least it aint so friggin ugly.

It's all about finding that second-line firing position where you don't bear the brunt of the return fire.
I'm not saying they're "viable", they fall well short of that, but in pug queue you get away with all kinds of suboptimal stuff.

You may be surprised. Skilled right you are reaching out to 550+ with the 10's (-20% jam chance works well) 300+ optimal with the MG's which means you are stripping components damned quick at just under 600 meters. With a light engine you hang with the assaults (if you can keep up with the clan assaults as you are only going 60ish KPH with one side of the mobility tree and taking the two at the bottom).
I know how the build sounds but able to keep around a 300ish average match score with this if played right (I only QP so that includes the common potato drops...). Used as a mid game brawler/finisher.
