The Clans won how many Tukayyids? And yet now that the timeline has advanced, PGI is acting like the IS won. What is the point of fighting when your victories will be officially denounced by the admins? Did the IS win recently? Did PGI decide to stop resetting the map once IS won?

And what would you clanners do now that you had won, you would have all of the IS in your hands, everyone now has to be clanners and just fight amongst themselves.

Seems like an even better recipe than PGI's current plan for FW and bordem.

All the IS? Hmm, maybe. We were making pretty good progress on that a few times. No, but they could have said ComStar and the houses reneged on their agreement with the Clans and did not give up territory as a result of the battle, instead using the entire battle to delay the Clans with trickery while they brought additional forces from the outer reaches of the IS. Then when the timeline advances, give the Clans Tukayyid and additional territory compared to what they had in canon. I know a lot of people adore the BattleTech canon and want PGI to stick to it like glue, but the point I am trying to make is that if you cannot change anything, why bother trying? And if the clans won in the next timeline, PGI could have brought in the powers from the periphery as additional playable options, and side them with the IS.

IMO, then they should have made a new, unique mech for the Clans to celebrate the victory. Give one Champion chassis to everyone who fought on the Clan side during one of those victories, maybe with an alternate skin for players who were with pivotal units and/or took a certain number of victories. That would also bring back retired players who want to relive/recreate past glory. They should make new mechs to celebrate major victories in this way, and I think even one mech isn't enough of a community reward for that many years of playing, but whatever. I'm sure Flying Debris would love to design a few mechs of his very own.

I blame the Scout matches. As soon as they came out, tons of people stopped putting their foot forward on 12-man drops.

Id love to see a hiring hall for mercs where loyalists could come in and actually hire a merc unit for a period of time, payed in space bucks, maybe even make up a MRBC (merc review and bonding commission) to oversee the contracts are upheld ect.
