Sometimes waitng times can be up to 10mins for a game of invasion, time which could be used to modify or skill up mechs. Is there any chance we could get a full access to mechlab function while waiting in lobby, which could maybe be limited to mechs outside dropdecks?
Looking forward to civil war patch.. Posted Image

I don't see it happening. It'd be stellar but PGI won't even let you look at/play with mechs during QP searching or any other time. It was only recently in the scheme of thing that it didn't take several minutes every time you wanted to look at a mech and move a laser or something similar because of how horrid their database handling was.

Why can't we just have an offline mechlab that gets checked when we want to save something? How about one that saves as you go? Works in the background? It could be a function that you could turn off if you're concerned about data caps, but would speed the bejeebus out of "loading" which takes forever. All the data is on my computer why should it take so darned long? Just check it AFTER the save while I'm doing other things and interrupt with a checksum error if something wrong is found...which it won't unless you're trying to hack your local database.

This would make it simple to be able to run the mechlab while waiting for FW.

Maybe they're just afraid that if they do this it'll be easy for someone to run their own server and ignore PGI? Maybe they're right even, if they don't know how to code any other protections in...and given the state of their coding I'm guessing they're short on coding labor available even if they do know how to make it happen so they just don't have the employees free to make it happen.

Sure would be sweet, but this was asked like 2+ years ago and waiting has only gotten more boring. Now there is only the twirling circle to watch while getting more hammered..

They couldn't even get Civil War weapon models done for all the Mechs, in time for today's patch.

Or update Faction Play to correctly represent and enable Civil War era battles.

Or create realistic walking animations on the new Mechs they're delivering tonight.

So, let's all stop dreaming about new features. They're barely even delivering the stuff we paid for.
