However, stuff like the Blue Shield might have been an elegant solution to the ERPPC/GR problem (which, let's be frank, is or was most effectively used ClanMechs like NTG or MAD IIC) than the new ghost heat. Also Harjel for the Clans, and of course the various armour types.

More likely something like AC20 plus Snub PPCs for pinpoint punch. Pin point damage is the most likely culprit.

The Blue Shield Particle Field Dampener, would be experimental. Stealth armor would also be technically experimental in this time period.

And the Clan mech can add another ER Medum Laser and a DHS into his build to kill even better.

I wouldn't, because I can bring more than enough firepower to compensate for that slight reduction in precision and enough heat-sinks to cool it.
