Just finished testing MRMs and ATMs on testing grounds, here's the results:

MRMs
ATMs

tl/dr:
MRMs deliver close to 80% of their rated damage to the target component at point blank range, but it quickly drops to around 50% at 100 meters and stays that way to max range. Note that the target is a stationary Atlas on testing grounds, so actual effectiveness on the battlefield against moving targets will be lower.

ATMs deliver around 50% of their rated damage to the center torso at minimum range, and that drops to around 40-45% at 270m and remains mostly the same until max range. ATM9s seem to be underperforming in terms of damage to CT, delivering 5% less of their rated damage to the CT compared to the other ATM sizes.

Here's the pictures of what the mechs looked when they were cored.

The simulator should already support a good amount of new tech (all new lasers, all new gauss, all new ppcs, MRMs, ATMs, all new UACs, and UAC double tap) so try it out.

Stuff not yet supported: RACs, Rocket launchers, Machine guns (ammo calculation is currently incorrect).

Let me know if you find any bugs (remember to press Ctrl-F5 to make sure you get the latest javascript when loading the simulator).

Sorry to resurrect a long-dead post, but this is interesting and that link with pictures is, too.

Does that mean that ATM's follow the same logic as SRM's, where having smaller pods will result in less spread? Since ATM12's and ATM6's weigh the same relative to their capacity, same cooldown, etc., is there a benefit to using 2 ATM6's instead of 1 ATM12 if hardpoints are available? Tighter groups?

That seams quite evident if you look at the spread stats.
The cost is heat and tripping ghost heat.

I can see a slight increase in heat per damage using two ATM6 instead of 1 ATM12, and yeah, looks like 4 ATM6's instead of 2ATM12's trips ghost heat, but I was asking about the spread. I use smaller SRM pods for less spread when hardpoints are available. But does the same concept apply to ATM's? They seem to be more consistent with weight/slots converting like that than SRM's and LRM's. Like switching it up like that doesn't matter other than slightly more heat and possible ghost heat.

Does the spread tighten up if you run 2 ATM6's instead of 1 ATM12?
