I think it's a bit odd to celebrate 24 new Mechs and a ton of new gear with a FP-event. I, for myself, and I guess people in general tend to fiddle around with new Mechs and stuff. And QP is the way to go here.

But free stuff in general is always nice. Thanks for that

That and to see where IS vs Clan balance stands with the addition of new tech. FP is the only venue where there is a clear division between the two. An event like this will provide a mountain of data that they can analyze to see what kind of balance disparity exist after the Civil War time jump.

This event may turn to be a great mess. (I really hope I'm wrong though) Of course plenty of people will go in just for the prizes, not REALLY caring to work as a team but thinking only to get the score required.

So, I'm prepared to go in and to have loss after another loss , maybe only some victories due the grace of God. Probably some noob kids or irresponsible players are going to go in with their new toys and weapons fully untested, not having any idea how, where or exactly when to use them.... in FP maps ! I'll see how it goes... Maybe I will finish, maybe I won't...

Looks like a disastrous event to experience for the lone-wolf, noob or pug, and another seal clubbing opportunity for good units. Have a blast !

Messy event, no problem, this is just a game anyway.

I don't understand why they have to do big productions for the events... Just give me randomly generated daily quests that can stack up to 3 like HoTS. I would love to have an extra reward to motivate me, and other players, to go outside of their comfort zones. I suck at Assaults, so give me a quest to play __ games as an assault. Give me another quest to get over __ score in a game, give me a quest to hit __ amount of enemies with a Guass, give me a quest to hit __ amount of enemies with LRMs, etc. etc.

Maybe give us a reward for going up a pilot level? Maybe give us our choice of a different class 'Mech each time? Going from 5-4, you get your pick of a light. 4-3, you get a pick of a medium! 3-2, you get a Heavy, grats you're a MechWarrior. 2-1 you get an Assault, congrats champ, you're so bad-*** that you get an assault, now go out there and LEAD!


It's simple PGI: Reward your players for playing the game and thus giving you a community/player base. Make it easy to get into the game and give people a constant objective to strive for, it's not going to interfere with larger events... if anything it's going to help diversify them. I know, your 'mech sales might go down because of the extra c-bills the players are getting, but with that extra revenue that they keep your other sales may go up; camo, colors, decals, etc. Just give it a thought.

I do agree Grayson. Also it would be good if not only the top scoring Unit would get MC of the conquered planet but also divide the income of that planet according to victory points to all contributing units that contribute more than 5% of the achieved victory points.

Give small units a reason to play. Right now the large marauding merc units playing soldier of fortune for whatever faction has the upper hand in the meta are not what I would imagine faction warfare to be.

Previously, the best way to get a MC to Cbills conversion was buying discounted Light champion Mechs with big XL engines and selling them.

Currently the most efficient conversion is unlocking and selling the contents of Supply Caches.
