I don't see them doing a clan mech until beyond first contact.

My bet is going to be a recon mech or fire support mech. I'd say a Raven or Catapult would be a good candidate. Maybe something like the Longbow or Archer to keep in the fire support vien.

Though, while I would be happy to see the raven, I'd also like to see something like the Panther, Commando, or Centurion.

'While I pray for the marauder I bet they will showcase some Unseen Goodness to highlight their being allowed to use them.'

Um, pardon my utter cluelessness, but could someone point me to some official confirmation on this? This would be godly if true. I've been so busy looking at the concept art and drooling over the game that I did not notice the unseen were back on the menu.

For one mech, I'd say Panther. It's a decent mech, rarely been done in video games, and it just screams for a redesign. To me, it is one of the Volvos of Battletech . . . it's boxy, but it's good. After seeing what's been done to the Atlas, I'm convinced Piranha could really juice up this design.

The concept art for this game has been jaw dropping. If they can take fugly mechs like the Jenner and make them look that good, then imagine what they can do with cool stuff, like the Unseen. Dear lord, let them have access to the Unseen. I may explode if these guys get a hold of the likes of the Marauder or the Warhammer. Or Shadow Hawk. Or Locust. Or Stinger. Or . . .LAMs. Heh. I may have just jinxed it right there.

No Elemental? Guess I'm the only person who likes to load one with an AC and just run around taking out peoples' legs...

What's an "elemental?"

Hint: As far as we know, here in the Sphere, Kerensky and his followers are nowhere to be found...

Yep, Elementals are unknown(along with the rest of clan tech), which also means that there are no IS battle armors since they were designed based off of Elementals.

Crab would be interesting, but I agree with the others.

For what I wish (and what could be likely) my vote goes to the Wolfhound.

***SPOILERS***
It was designed specifically to fight Panthers. It's a new design, along with the Hatchetman, but it is in production and starting to be spread around. Also, it's durability will be very helpfull during the invasion.

To top it all off, one of the most important encounters of the Clan invasion happened when a Wolfhoud went up against an unknown design that shared the body, missile pods, and legs of a Catapult, along with the arms of a Marauder. It was a Wolfhound that first sent back data on that mech which had its computer rapidly cycling between MAD- and CAT-.... Hence MadCat.

You need the Wolfhound for Phelan to get captured.

Was released in the 4th succession war, Daniel Allard got one then and used it to good effect with the Kell Hounds. Dr. Banzai had invented it in NAIS during the 4th succession from everything I have read.

Not trying to be nit-picky, I like the wolfhound a lot too. :)

They said they would redesign the unseen just like they have the rest, so I wouldn't count them out and I hope they are in the mix.

hmm so you are possitive that they had stoped all the testing on this mech? Did they send you a personal update form the Naise? Point i
was making is that the hound is what Phalen was using when he dissapered with the clans so it would be wise if the Devs added this into the mix before they bring in the clans. For all we know the Devs may make a mish for us as the escorts in his squad

Most any of the 'Mechs listed would be great, but I sometimes wonder what attracts people to certain 'Mechs, and if there's actually a genuine like of the 'Mech or if people are simply tossing out names.

Meh, I'll cast my vote for the Crusader. It's in my preferred weight class, I like the name, and two of the models I think would fit my piloting style (I forget which).

I really love the physical design of the Catapult, and it fits the way I play the TT version of the game. I legitimately think a Catapult is fantastic, and personally I think the CTPLT-C4 is the best and it is far from the best version. I prefer style and flair to functionality.

Marauder. Or better yet, Marauder II =)
Seriously, I want to know, will the Unseen appear in the game or not.

Every body is going to be scream at me for this but, Warhammer. Ironwind Metals has resculped it, I think it looks preaty cool.

Its for the board game but you might be able to use it?

Here's a link to there site if anybody dosent have it http://ironwindmetals.com just click on Online Store, and the top of the list on the left.
And look for Mechs.

You can still find a lot of the original design's and resculped ones.

Hehe while I was never great at piloting the Catapult myself I do remember having so much fun on the MW2 Hanson's Roughriders training missions watching Catapult pilot "Deadeye" blow stuff up while passing on his gritty veteran knowledge...in a totally ruthless kill for profit kind of way lol.

They won't hurt anything by including the Catapult.

A Marauder.
We need to see the unseens. (Just to be sure they exist.)
We need a reverse jointed mech.
We need a mech that was sexy before he got his hands on it, to see how he handles sexy mechs. (Excepting the Atlas, the others were ugly before the redo.)
A mech with two PPCs would be nice.
I like Marauders!
