They were always supposed to be linked, so if they got unlinked then PGI must have fixed it.
IS medium and IS Small lasers are unlinked, though, probably because IS small lasers are so much weaker than their clan counterparts.

Tried a few different loadouts, including 2xsnPPC + 4xerSmLas, 2xPPC + 4xerSmLas, Heavy PPC + 4xMedLas, 6xMedLas + 3xerSmLas. All of them did OK, but I settled on 6xerMedLas + 3xMedPulseLas. The erMed's gave me range I didn't have before, and the 3 MedPulse is follow-up if the opportunity is there. I can still alpha once without shutting down. Still loads of fun, although the mixed PPC ones are better for poking.

This was THE most disappointed and backward change in the patch. Adding ghost heat to GaussPPC I can almost understand... GaussPPC was recently (pre-skill tree) the strongest meta in the game by a moderately large margin. But linking ML+MPL? What meta-defining and game-breaking overpowered builds existed for ML+MPL? There were none. There was a Black Jack that was okay, a Thunderbolt that was okay, a Black Knight that was meh... and other than that... I can't even think of anything. So why the nerf? For some of these mechs, the MPL+ML was one of the best builds, or most fun. But not even particularly strong. Now these mechs don't have that option, so they're junk again. What's the point of making changes that nerf things that are average or already below average? What_is_the_point?
