I own all Cougar variants except for the Blood Adder. When attempting to switch out the omnipods on any cougar, the only options are Cougar C, D, and Prime.
Originally I only purchased the Prime C and D variants. I purchased the E and H variants on 7-27-17, specifically to obtain the ECM omnipod.
The only way I can use the COU-H or COU-E Omnipods is to remove them from the variant. Then they will show up in the omnipod lists, but as soon as I put them on a mech, the omnipod disappears from the list.

Works as intended. Otherwise people who only bought the basic pack could use omnipods they didn't pay for. Wait until CB-release of the mechs to buy additional E and H Omnipods.

I'm not sure you understand...I own all the variants already. Shouldn't these work the same as the Hellbringer ECM omnipods? Doesn't owning the ECM variant unlock the omnipod? I can't even do it with the E...which came in the same pack as the H

It does not unlock the purchasing of the omnipod within the mechlab, nor is it designed to at this time.
It's supposed to have omnipods you can't sell however, but they do show up as sellable for me.

You can sell even the Hero pods, but you just can't buy anything for CB that is not available for CB. When E and H are out for CB, the omnipods will show up in the mechlab as a purchase option.

This is still not correct....I can purchase Prime, C and D omnipods right now. These mechs are not yet available for C-bills. I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to also purchase omipods for E and H. I think this is an error of some kind.

It is as it is and always was. Everyone who bought a basic pack or higher can purchase additional omnipods of the basic variants. Reinforcement omnipods will be available when the mechs are out for CB.

Where are all these rules written? I don't remember seeing it in the patch notes...
I appreciate the replies though

They aren't in the patch notes because PGI has always done it this way... Why would they repeat known info?
Granted, there are new purchasers that don't know this, but they are relatively few, and not all that important as far as PGI is concerned.

The only current work-around (until the other variants and their respective omnipods are available for purchase via C-Bills) is to unequip the BA, E, and H omnipods that you already own and move them around to the variants you want them equipped on. It's better than nothing for the mean time.
