Triple Digit Temperatures in California:

To those of us who have walked the sunny beaches of California the temps have hit triple digits.

Now like myself, you might just say It's a dry heat and shrug it off, that's fine.

If you have an elderly person living in the affected area, check on them.
Stay cool if you can.
Use sun screen

Make sure that your car has plenty of coolant

Stay hydrated.

If I didn't know that Americans used Farenheit for temperature instead of real units Celsius, I'd be alarmed by this.

Yes we use Fahrenheit. We are not slaves to a system that does not work for us. We can do things independently of the metric system. It's worked for over two hundred years and as the old saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it.

I remember when there was a big push for us kids to learn Spanish I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade

later when I was a teen there was a big push to learn/go to the metric system
its easier to just go metric then it is to try and learn how to do all the conversions

why these things fell thru I have no idea

I also don't understand why people from all over the world want to come to the US

So, Cali went to finally have warm weather Posted Image

Good call for our elders, though, they always need an eye on them anyway , not to mention their problems with the conversion of Fahrenheit to Celsius .
