It looks great though, but I'm curious, why do we still have the same 3 mech basic pack format when there is no longer a "rule of three" and why can't we just pre-order the variants we want without these "walls" in the way???

Cool to see this one get in the game...although from the artwork it looks to be one the the least "XL-safe" mechs out there....those side torso's are just begging to get shot off. Should be good for LFE sales on the ones that come with the stock XL

according to lore the prototype was for an Omnimech but none of the houses were interested so it was converted to a battlemech, for more info check on sarna.

none of the varients on offer are Omnimechs, they are all battlemechs

You do realize that the main purchasers of the Thanatos were the LAAF (Steiner) and AFFS (Davion) right?

This really will depend on the hitboxes and whether or not you like Jump Jets.
