After being back for about 10 days, I suddenly started receiving a bunch of friend requests last night. They don't come with messages, and I'm unclear on what the point is and why they're doing it.

What's the deal with friending people?

I am personally more concerned with all the unknown people who have nothing to do with MWO (especially of the opposite gender) who began to follow me on Twitter, and liking my tweets.

Bots and catfishers mate, bots and catfishers. I can scare them off for you if you just ask for some of my weirder images for you to send to them.
