This has been my experience for the last couple months as well. Its basically boiled down to not being fun anymore. Time to take a break for me.

Except for this month so far you have had either positive win/loss record or in the red by a couple of games.

While Fox With A Shotgun, you have been way into the black on win/loss, with a few 1.5+ W/L season including this season/month on the 10th day has you @ 1.72 W/L, having won 62, lost 36. Others would kill to have been successful like that.

Man I don't know whats going on, but the MM literally hates my guts. I must have ran 10-12 last night with only like 1-2 wins, scoring in the 400-1100 range. If i had to estimate, I was averaging about 500 damage per bout, if not more.

Still no dice.

I think whats different now, as opposed to when i first started to play and had decent stats, I was on the mic much much more...but lately, just really not wanted to talk, just want to play.

I dunno, but its very frustrating pugging whilst consistently putting up big numbers, but in the end to just lose...which in turns makes me "try harder" which leads to mistakes(over committing to kills).

The thing is, if I switch to group, well now you're stuck with tonnage restrictions and everyone right now wants to play with their new toys, so you basically have to wait in line to play your Assault mech.

I dunno, just as many have said before, if there is a lose, there is someone winning. I just don't get how keep getting thrown on the losing side. I don't know how many games I threw up ~700dmg, and i'm talking a legit, front to back fighting, no hiding, score...but to still lose the fight by a good margin.

I put up 3 kills and 1100 with my Anni one match, and still...loss.

Its rather strange.

I dont mind loosing at all.

Not at all.

Id much rather have a really cool, close, hard battle and loose then to win by completet domination.

Only weak minded ppl would ever enjoy that just like the majority of football players hysterically cheering and demanding a win by any and all means are weakminded. Id much rather see the team im rooting for loose but see an awesome match then to see that team win by sheer domination which is no real competition. Its a massacre.

That said, what enrages me is when ppl jsut start dying and melting 1 min into the game. Or even 30 secs into the game.

1, then 2 then 3...no wait...4 go down. Instamelting.

You know right away that your chances for a good more or less balanced game are vanishing and dropping into a black hole.

Somebody is responsible for that. Somebody is to blame for such imba games.

Either the ppl, the weak cannonfodder players that fail to meet my standards or the match maker.

Anybody playing Mother Teresa and proclaiming wide eyed 'whys there so much salt here bofuckinghooo' apparently doesnt understand why you wanne test your might.

You want a strong team and real warriors by your side when you test your might vs other real warriors.

Not some weak minded cannofodder ppl that instamelt.

If you dont get salty over that you gotta check your testosterone levels or change your diet.

A well built 65kph brawler assault is an oxymoron in quickplay. 11 other people are not going to give away the speed of their build choices becasue of your poor choice of a slow mech. The Kodiak the Marauder IIc and the Madcat II can be configured to brawl at much faster speeds. Its your choice to enter the quick play queue with a slow mech and you have to take the consequences. 11 other people dont not have change their play style because of what you want to do. A 65 kph assault is wastage of tonnage when you have the possibility of playing conquest, domination and escort.

Grouping with the team, especially the ones that typically have the most firepower and armor, isn't catering to my playstyle; it's playing intelligently. If you want to rush ahead or run away and leave your team at a disadvantage, I suppose no one can stop you, but it's going to result in more losses than wins

I'm tired of seeing 3-4 people on my team EVERY match doing the forehead slapping idiotic things. I understand people need to learn but why are they learning with players that know better ??? We need a kids table and fast so the adults can have dinner in peace.

Suicide Lights ... Hey guys there they are, now I'm dead and you are short a mech. Sorry buddy we knew where they were going to be for the most part the maps haven't changed !!!

The Nascar Driver .. Enemy is on the left flank .. QUICK GTFO go right goooo right and leave all assaults and firepower to die 1 by 1.

The French ... Enemy is straight ahead, slowly back away don't make eye contact and turn and run.

The Mountain climber ... Enemy has 12 mechs looking at that hill ... i'll just take a quick peak and whoops i'm dead good luck team.

The LRM Support guy ... Guys i brought LRMS in my Atlas hold locks and i'll wreck face... HOLD LOCKS !!! come on your n00b keep that lock.

The Pacifist ... if i just stay hidden behind this rock the war will end.

The "Sniper" ... you guys get in the fight so i can rack up the damage waaaaay in the back with my assault mech.

The Know it all ... my K/D, W/L are .48 but I'm going to call the strategy and you better listen or i will tell you how much you suck.... the entire match.

I resemble some if not all of those identifers !

But, to be honest, I'd rather play against pilots of a similar skill level and actually have fun.....
Here's me: 543 85 97 .88 51 125 .41 182 175 equals below average potato....

Why in the world would I want to ruin a competitive players game; even if everything I do drives that player bug-*** crazy and sometimes is as much fun as playing the game? Sorry, sometimes us potatos just have to vent when we're getting verbally assaulted during a match.....so, we go sight seeing or wander over to see if we can help recon a distant point or simply get destroyed and spectate the geniuses lose a game because they just forced a mech to want to be destroyed (saw that twice last night where the players walked off the map after some abuse....)

If MWO made a voluntary tier selection with a statistics lock-out, players like me "could" chose to play up and, potentially get slaughtered but, you professional killing machines would never be able to farm down.... I'd use w/l ratio's to lock you out....

The good news is you would be forced up a tier if you got better and could go down if you got worse..... You could play up as high as you want but, to what end??? If your w/l ratio starts to tank (by a certain percentage) you'd be "locked out of upper level matches till your w/l improves..... Can play up 1 but never down......

Just a thought; so, those of us causing "issues" with you'all can have fun too and maybe, retain a few more people???

My list of "favorites".

The AFK assault mech

The "recon specialist" light mech that runs straight into the enemy to launch a UAV when we already know where the enemy spawn is and no one on their team is anywhere near close enough to exploit the UAV targets.

Teams that run like a moth to flame for G6 on River City from the west deployment zone. Seriously why? What tactical advantage is there to clumping up in low ground with no cover on you rear and flanks. This spot has no particular advantage but a pile of disadvantages.

picking HPG every time it's an option. and then give the enemy the high ground and NASCAR your team to death.

Teams who pick domination but treat the domination point like it's radioactive and refuse to get in there.

Teams who insist on fighting up hill whenever they get the option to do so.

I know this is mainly about QP but I had a FW match aganced lurmgod a few days ago that I should have taken a screen shot of ( hindsight) but there was a HUGE range in numbers on both teams. He broke over 4k damage done with a respectable amount of kills and I had my first over 3k game. So if you read this Lrumgod you're more than welcome to post a screenshot if you have it.

Just from the numbers and match score it looked like we both had a assortment of afore mentioned skill disparity on both teams. I just think he had less.

Just take a deep breath, chug a beer, curse at a pillow and reque for another drop.

Yah I like well-fought matches. I don't mind dying of the fight is good and sometimes a well-placed sacrifice is necessary to get a team going. I have a few examples, but my best one is a game I was playing the weekend the Mad Cat II came out. I was in one of mine in a Skirmish in Frozen City. Both teams were just hiding, trading pokes. I got bored after like 5 mins of that and went after a Blackjack. He moved better than I did so I stripped a ton of its armor and blew up an arm but couldn't get the kill. However my cresting over drew out a large portion if the team and I manged to survive about 20-25 seconds of fire before going down. The BJ got killed seconds after and got on the horn saying crap "you spent 90 tons to not even kill a medium. How does that make you feel?" I said "pretty good now that your whole team got distracted and is about to get rolled".

We won 12-2 like 2 mins later. Well-placed aggresion wins the game usually.

Is the matchmaker broken again ? since I was playing some nice games on T3 (and im T3) and swapped to my LRM60 madcat2 and entered a match... moments later on comms: "WTH you brought LRMs to T1 match ?". Didnt they just fix em tiers ?

So what happened after all, 2 players from T3 was tossed into pure T1 one match and you can assume the rest that LRMs aint good around good players at T1...

Huoh whats going on again ?

Heh Thanks =)

I understand this can happen once in a while, but sometimes it just pisses me off ... Im not KDR or W/L fanatic and I play to have some fun and tiers aint my focus. But when Im not in LRM-boat and this happens its once in while to actually have good ingame comms that ppls know what they are doing ... even thou it can become "sniper elite XXXIV" and man thats pretty damned boring.

Simple solution:
Tell them to play group or comp or cw queue if they cant bear the randomness of qp
or want to control the mechs and loadouts of their allys.
Qp is not for everyone ... Posted Image
