Agree. They also need to get rid of that damn map voting. I know there are losers in this game that will disco because they have to play on Terra Therma every so often but tough dookey for them I want to play it more than once in a blue moon. Hell some of my very best matches ever were on Terra Therma, both old and new and other maps like Viridian which is another that seldom gets selected.
So yeah we need about 4 new map like immediately and then get rid of the voting and then have them add in the old versions of maps they have revamped as well so we can get a good rotation going.

I hear you, turning that fun map into a fishbowl was a travesty. The only one they changed that was an improvement is TT, but we never play that map so it doesn't really count.

I agree it's getting stale, totally support your views on that.
however, Maps are not going to change a things unless they're equally dull ones like Polar, or Mining, HPG or canyon, in which case I'd rather they not bother.
The only way additional maps would be worth spending money on is if P.G.I scrapped map and mode voting

they are working on new maps,
Russ says they will discuss it at the next town hall, which will be soon likely this week or next,
knowing that others have posted and made topics about Maps, which ive also posted the above,
to encourage others to make Topics as to flood the forums is rather disruptive,
we all want new maps, but causing a disruption or disturbance in the forums wont help that cause,

Won't hurt it either. Anyone who's been around for more than a couple of weeks knows that the "official" site for MW:O news that they read is Twitter.

1. You are not the Forum God.
2. There is nothing disruptive about voicing an opinion, even if it has been voiced before. Seriously.
3. Your response annoys me so much. "Rather disruptive" *cringe*

A town hall won't speed up that process; it'll just be another sales pitch like every other one.
There's nothing we can do that will change the ETA on the new maps.. and if you complain to Russler the only way anyone can talk to him, his Twitter safe-space, he'll block you.

Hoped new mechs and new weapons would change something but it doesnt seem that is the case. New maps probably won't do either. This game needs to be more alive wiithin the BT universe with backstory, salvage for mercs, a reason to play for everyone besides of plain old plain old (money, more mechs). Solaris would be most appreciated, a evolving story component that makes it at least seem like this is a living and evolving universe...

"Inspecting player created maps for functionality takes too much time." -- This is crap. You put up player created content on the test server and let the players check it. Once it plays well and has the rough edges worked out, put it on the live servers and give the creator a reward for their efforts.
You have an army of dedicated, tech savvy, creative players that are just itching for new content. Instead of watching more and more people wander off because content is stale, LET US HELP!!!

Yes, yes, and yes. The only reason not to is they seem to want this game to die, but buy a mech pak first- don't need no stinkin maps.....

Ill bet Russ and co would prefer 20-30 repeated forum posts rather than a big chunk of people cancelling their pre-orders. I am not spending another cent on this game until new maps (yes more than 1) start happening. No waiting, no shenanigans about how much it costs to make a map, plenty of people have offered to help PGI with player created maps ect.

Yeah that never happened. At least Canyon Network so far hasn't been ruined by a rework. New maps that are not moba lane death traps or focused on one particular area or thing like river shety tower or the hill on forest colony would be great.

But isn't that how change is enacted? I mean if people don't speak up about something then now one knows there is an issue. Also if only one or two speak up, then it is dismissed as nothing of importance but if the entire community speaks up, it becomes something they need to address.
Take the premium time removal from the mech packs. If the community hadn't spoke up and if there hadn't been 100 threads about it, we would still not have premium time in our mech packs.
So what you call disruptive is a mechanism for change more often than not. Therefore I don't think there is a problem with with there being a dozen threads about a topic that has the community polarized and requesting changes.
Honestly, this is where I think mods generally go wrong, they mistake a cry for change as something disruptive and an action that much be shut down which in turn is usually viewed by the community as censorship. This of course leads to even more negativity from those who feel censored which now starts to lead to real disruption as people begin to feel like their opinions are being suppressed.
Being a mod is a tough job with alot of slippery slopes. I know it isn't a job I would want. Then again I probably wouldn't be offered it either hehe.
