Lol, just what MWO needs, moar gambling.

I agree with the mech pack for maps things, PGI and kickstarter should never be used in the same sentence seeing as it appears that MWO has been a roundabout kickstarter for MW5 at any rate.

You are right they do, they also generally have a much younger demographic player base that get caught by them too. BT is more than likely an older demographic due to the history of the game and how long it has been out.

God Bless PGI they whiped-out that old crap as Frozen City. I hope River City face the same fate. Only thing that was don wrong... Bring Back Please OLD Forest Colony, new one is rubbish.Posted Image

About new maps... I hpe we'll get something like this...
Posted Image

That would be really nice..

A nice rural community, farms, and a processing plant in a temperate environment.. and then 24 a-holes with giant robots come over and battle like bildshnipe.. Posted Image

I would also like to see an all-forest and all-city maps, as well as a classic Sahara-like desert map, and some lunar maps.. Also, a nice royal palace map..

The thing about map creation that has bothered me since closed beta is that the player base has offered to make maps many, MANY times over the last few years, only to be shot down by PGI due to a reason that really doesn't make a great deal of sense.

"Inspecting player created maps for functionality takes too much time."

I guess that means PGI doesn't check their own maps for functionality either...

what development? there hasnt been a new map since january 2017. and does polar highlands even count as a map? probably not...

people arnt going to buy mech packs for development that doesnt exist

and pgi isnt going to put any considerable development time into a game thats near the end of its dev cycle and already in a state of perpetual decline.

PGI needs to roll out MW5 to survive at this point. MWO cant be saved right now. If MW5 does extremely well maybe then PGI can port MWO over to a different engine and try to save it.

Always so f***ing disheartening to keep hearing this, even more saddening this is also very true. Even further frustrating because Battletech franchise does not deserve such fate.

And you are kidding, based on how PGI handles MWO, if you truly believe MW5 would do remotely well.

I would be utterly and breathlessly surprised if MW5 goes over 70 on Metacritic or Opencritic.

Just... can we stop talking about MW5 saving or something? If Battletech actually survives and thrives, PGI would be very last company which can do that. Companies lkike HBS would impact this franchise far greater than PGI has been since 2011.

being older just means they have more money to spend on gambling

older people arnt actually any smarter when it comes to compulsively gambling their money away

casinos arnt preying on young kids for example...

lots of older people lack restraint and willpower when it comes to gambling. they cant resist a spin of the wheel for a chance at big money and big prizes.

PGI needs to take advantage of those inferior specimens of humanity.

A single new map is hard to make and take hundreds of thousands of dollars which is currently funding MW5. I mean maybe when MW5 is released "soon" (liek this gam was amirite guise) they can take all that sweet money and make a space shooting sim. Then maybe just before the heat death of the universe we might possibly be able to get to see a new map. Maybe.

When Russ or Art Director its make =High price Posted Image thats real nonsense, all other Games bancrupt by the massive Maps come for it? for a MWO Map (with 8 Hours per Day ) one Man is working for 6Months by many assets like Buildings or many Deatils ...most you can make fast with Copy and Paste (Streetmodules with Streetlamps ) only texturing,Bugfixing and Details cost many Times

and whos gonna pay for all these new maps?

the mechpacks that arnt selling nearly as well as they used to?
collect you Cars for driving of only one and the same short Street ?

The UE4 is not a better Engine as the Cryengine, in many Points (Outdoor Enviroment ,Dynamic Light ) the Cryengine is better , and PGI has not really enough People for MWO and lost many good leading Folks ,who become the People for MW5?

Which Guy buy a MW5 by Work from PGI for with MWO? after Transverse...Duke nukem forver ...Die Hard:Nakotami Place and a MWO thats miles away from spoken by the begin of the Founding...thats a long story of fails and mWO the first little sucess
