So it happened.

I ganked up with 3 other lights and mediums and we just carpet bombed the clustered up and way too close standing pug company called The Red Team.

Its pretty lethal, completly and hilariously imba and we took out the first 2 heavy and assaulst mechs with 4 combined arty and air strike bombs.

3 more mechs died when the second waved was lauchned.

5 Mechs died in the span of about 15 or 20 seconds. As long as it takes for you to launch second bombardment.

We killed 5 mechs with 8 arty and air strikes.

In about half a minute.

The other team had no chance.

Our main force was just about to start peeking with the first mechs approaching front line.

I gotta admit its kinda fun. But its so easy and specially clumped up completly oblivious pug players that never look to the right or behind are so utterly hepless against it that it seems totally imba.

And here is another one, and all the other recent threads on the same subject were just not good enough to post in.

Good

I would much rather everyone abuse the heck out of this frequently to encourage our balance overlords to change this sooner than later. (Than for it to drag on)

You want TPTB to nerf it when the easier solution is to be mobile? SMDH.

8 strikes in 30 seconds implies a 3.75-second cooldown per strike for the entire team.

Nope, you're not exaggerating there. Posted Image

I really do not understand why people think lacing their arguments with a load bull crap improves the standing of those same arguments.

But then again we have the current POTUS who actually blatantly lies, and seemingly without any negative consequences. Posted Image Posted Image

I've seen three go down in about a minute's worth of arty bombardment, but that wasn't so much co-ordinated as people taking turns popping redsmoke at a deathball on Alpine. Team had a squirrel lance of lights running circles around the enemy to keep them lined up, and one of the other lances got up top and just started dropping smoke from ohmygawdsville distance away.

You got a discord? I'll join you, maybe we can find a developer to blow up, they instantly remove features that are used against them so.... JK they don't play the game anymore. I've never used arty\airstrikes but I would if it was an act of protest against their existence.

Otherwise I might do this with some friends, even if we lose the game, the people who get shredded by arty spam will join the ranks of the anti-consumable-faithful.

Oh no, the enemy is moving! Now I need to like, target an area slightly in front of the direction of their travel, or reserve my arty-airy for assault mechs. What a counter!

Neither side of this debate has done any research into 'mech movement, places strike can be used out of view, the frequency of being hit by a strike standing still or moving from position to position, etc etc. I pains me to know people are confident that baiting and making passive aggressive tosses at each other (looking at you OP) substitutes as an argument in the issue of consumable strikes.

Where are the smart people who put effort into testing this stuff and showing screenshots and video? I want to see them not... THESE people. Whoever you guys are. Maybe I should be that guy.
