We don't have any 8th Generation Atlases in MWO, just the 7th gens.
For the Davion Dual Cockpit, there's Stealth Armor.(AS7-D-DC)
So there's that.
For the Kurita...(AS7-K)
....good question.
For the Rassalhague (RS), literally any of the new PPCs. (AS7-RS)
For the Steiner... MRMs. (AS7-S)
For the Davion... any of the above. (AS7-D)
For the Boar's Head... So many energy opportunities come to mind. Possibly the Heavy Gauss?

The good news at least is the skills reducing jam duration, hopefully that'll be much better

For long range the major problem with the Atlas always has been that all the E and B hardpoints are all rather low on the Mech, there is nothing coming today that can compensate for that. we sould need we get Mech mounted morters or artillary.

Ultra20 gives some much needed firepower
MRMs extend the range
ERMLs extend range
3xLPPC isn't bad either.
Not a good long range mech but the new tech gives it some rang to help soften targets as it closes in on them.

Atlas can't dakka, Atlas can't laser vomit and with missiles on only one side Atlas can not spam MRM as much as the hero Anni.

Anni has maxengine 300 across the bench and Atlas has 360 and Boarshead 400....so with large energy weapons and MRMs ATlas could build high alpha builds.
f.e.: AS7-S
Use The HPPCs and SRM+SNPPC in separate groups and you got unsetteling medrange firepower.
Actually I think the AS7-K is my favorite atm with 4ERM lasers, UAC20, MRM40 and dual LAMS on a lightFE 325.

Atlas doesnt have a big Giraffe neck that gets stuck on terrain and gets shot 2 days before you get to the battle line.
Im not seeing how the Anni brawls better than the Atlas. And i dont encourage range fighting in an Atlas either.

Brawler: Somewhat hot. I usually chain fire the snubs. Works well, a bit more powerful than the traditional ASRM6, AC20, ML build that most people run.
Ranged: Not as hot, I do a lot of poking with the ERLL, between 400-700 meters I work the RAC2's and LRMs. Works decent, but I prefer brawling in my Atlas.
I am still experimenting with this one, trying to utilize the LXL325 I purchased with most builds. MRMs work well too, but I Haven't settled on anything there yet. I also want to experiment with the heavy ppc. I may even try a LXL350 later and see what I can come up with.

Tried the MRM+UAC20, not that impressed.
Best version I've found so far: AS7-BH
I'm also planning on trying this: AS7-D

Of course it's utterly worthless at range so you got to wait things out till you can get close. Until then you protect yourself (and your team) pretty damn well with the ECM and AMS. I also noticed that boosting protection skills takes priority over offensive ones.
Here's the build.
AS7-D-DC
