The constant "balance" passes are not meant to balance the game at all.
They are meant to keep the community in a constant state of confusion. That way we will focus on the little things while the big things continued to be ignored.
Well played PGI, well played.

You might be on to something. I mean if they weren't constantly nerfing crap and giving us something to focus on, then we might start asking about things like enhanced community function, more maps, the lack of development, how much of the mech pack money is being diverted to MW5 instead of making MWO better, better FW, etc.

There's no confusion Ted.
May 2017 The balance overlords:
"Overall, current Quirks have introduced a level of power creep that we feel is the wrong direction for MWO, with heavily Quirked ‘Mechs acting more as puzzles then avenues of personal customization."
Patch notes for August 15th:
"With the release of new Heroes and C-Bill variants for 9 Clan chassis, we've used this opportunity to run a Quirk adjustment pass on most of the chassis variants. In addition to overall Quirk updates, 'Mechs which did not previously possess Set of 8 Quirks have received them in this pass."
See? No confusion at all. Just perfectly consistent messaging and direction.

Soon as I saw the 'we are handing out quirks' PDF... I laughed for a good long while.
As usual, zero consistency or clue.

I don't know what I find more unbelievable, the FBI using the deep state so Hillary Clinton can kidnap children in order to drain their blood for their precious stem cells so she and Bernie Sanders can take over the world through the UN (thanks Obama) and doesn't get brought to public attention when Nibiru crashes into Earth making it's disk tilt spilling all life over the side or PGI constantly introducing avoidable new quirk passes. Just saying it's one or the other so I suppose it's a 50% - 50% chance of being right.

main reason why I believe PGI either needs to get a real balance team together and actually start expanding so they can run things a lot smoother or get ready to drop/delay projects. Its not rocket science PGI. you have to spend money to make money, and spending money on a true balance team that actually knows the battle tech universe is a really good step in the right direction and shows how serious you really are.
