So assaults and heavies would be in a higher tier? Not sure what that would achieve bearing in mind how raw damage plays into the system atm.

8v8 worked well previously with the one exception that if one side had a dc then the match was massively tilted to the other side. if you played well you could really tip a match so personal performance felt more relevant.

Main advantage I'd say of having smaller teams would be that the MM would have an easier time sorting balanced matches, aka less matches padded out with extreme ranges.

Frankly I never understood why they were wasting resources to put IK in for the 5 people on the forums campaigning for it.
