That thing looks like its ready to topple over. I like the MWO version's upper body to legs proportion much better. The LL version is the guy that skips leg day everyday.
The MWO model looks similar to this one... except for the head. I, for one, think the head on the Clix model is superior in design. Angular. Sharp. An aggressive V window.
Sexy.

+1. I like this model a lot. Really cool looking mech!

yes, the 3rd PPC is an error.
I'd realized after I put that up that I'd forgotten to delete the 3rd ppc in that arm. I'd made 3 because that's where I'd started making them, and had to mirror 3 over to the other left arm, which has 3 energy hardpoints and needs 3 ppcs. Welcome to work in progress (I've even made minor changes to them since then).
@Mark, can we have a wip pic of the Nightstar? Please! Pretty please!

If PGI were really evil, the theme for the new map could be a salt mine

So here's my questions ...
When will we get more maps? Particularly more open country temperate zone maps for Random Queues?
Will the drop deck tonnage be equalised again now that Civil War new tech is causing IS to trash Clan most of the time?
Are you going to optimise the game for DX12 and 8-core/16-thread CPUs anytime soon?
When will you fix the matchmaker to prevent the seal-clubbing that is rampant in Group Queue? (Really? Putting PSR Tier-5 newbies against the likes of Colonel O'Neill and Co in almost every drop? Good way to keep new players - not!)

I'm sorry to say that, but I find the Academy very awkward to use. Also, there is no real combat there.
Give me an option to add bots (and choose the mech they will pilot, even if just the stock variants) in the private lobby and I have nothing more to ask in this game.

That Clix is Grinder. I have it on my desk and it's the reason I pre-ordered.
I too would make the request that the head look more like Grinder's head. The rest of the render looks great.
EDIT:
Grinder is piloted by Steven P. Frohnhoefer if anyone cares.

Civil war Era weapons where good shake up - but we I personally need more. It's a great feeling when game feels fresh.

That is a Good question I also want to know when we will get more open country maps that give room for areal combat and long range fighting?
Is PGI thinking about transfering MW5 know how to their faithfull paying MWO supporters like a possible game engine switch and cooperative PVE quickplay and Cooperative Mini campaigns ?

Ed, you do realize that MWO is the failed left-overs of the original MW5 that they were going to release right?
I'm just saying, if they are working on the AI for MW5, then why not use it in MWO? Why not give your player-base, especially those that have financially supported you, options? I'm not going to re-invest time and money in a developer for another game that has the features that the other one could have had. They could use a PvE option to show off their new amazing MW5 AI and use it to advertise that game. Show me that the AI is great and that MW5 is going to be a great experience and I'll happily save up for it.
I love BattleTech and MechWarrior, I've been playing this stuff and reading the novels since I was a kid. I tried to get my friends involved, but having two T5s and one T3 in the QP queue that ended up in us vs T1 players across the board... Our little group of 3 people was being matched up in teams comprised of other small groups vs. organized 12 man groups. My God it was a slaughterhouse match after match, night after night. They quit. I can't get them to come back because they don't want to bash their faces against the wall like that and I can't blame them. So give us some PvE content so that they can learn how to play and we can have a good time.
Don't tell me the tutorials make up for the lack of PvE. If you've NEVER piloted a 'Mech before or have NEVER played a FPS then the tutorials can help, but they don't give you the practice that you need from a match filled with bots. Bots that you can change the difficulty for. The tutorials are a bandage on the festering wound that is the difficulty curve of this game. As a veteran MW player it's not that bad for me, but for people who are not used to MW it's a problem. PGI needs to give these newbies a safe PvE environment with some c-bill rewards so that they can practice and get better without being thrown to the wolves. I'm sure vet players love it, they get fresh meat for the grinder, but it's a pretty horrible way to stunt your player-growth.
I'm a marketing manager for a multi-million dollar company. I'm an independent game designer on the side; and yes, it's much more difficult than people think. I can tell you that if my team had our game out like PGI does and I had numerous customers telling me about these issues I would do whatever I could to try and accommodate them. I wouldn't just pretend that they don't exist and carry on business as usual, releasing one 'Mech pack after another, because that's a great way to actually lose business and profit.
It is NEVER a bad thing to give your customers options.
Keep the PvP, improve on the PvP, and make your customers happy. Add PvE missions or just PvE quick play matches to expand your player-base. It's the story of WoW. Sure Blizzard ticked off the "hardcore" players that thought that newbies should have to go through the same grind that they did, but they made their game way more accessible and increased their profits by a wide margin. Why on earth would anyone be resistant to that?

2: Also, will IS get any omni mechs? And will these have the same restrictions that clan omnimechs have right now?
3: Will clan enhanced imaging be introduced to the game?
4: Will there be maps that have dynamic effects that will have an impact on mech performance during gameplay? (Like hot sunny parts that heat a mech up, shadows to hide in when you want to cool down and all this moves as time progress. Smoke that affect laser ranges, weird electric phenomena that hide mechs from radar and/or add fake radar signals, and similar)
5: Are there plans on updating the escort AI so it stops heading into buildings, avoid going straight into a known enemy fireline and possibly shoot back at targets of opportunity?
6: Finally, are there any plans to introduce more weapons for the clans that have less facetime then the current weapons? Like regular lasers?
7: Rainbow decal? Is it happening?
