Flamers have already gone through this so why can I be blinded by RAC's shooting into my face the explosion makes it impossible to see.

RAC explosions were supposed to be turned way down a month or two after they came out, as each shot doesn't do nearly as much damage in a single hit to be making so much fireworks all up in your face.

But then they never actually did.

Personally I say they don't need to be removed, just reduced by half and made much more transparent.

RACs are weak nerfed weapon. You can't shoot more than 2 of them, They barely do damage. They need to rotate before fire. They Jam. They heat. So, blinding is the only reason to use them. And its actually funny to use them because of blinding. Don't touch RACS! Stop nerfing fun!

Suppression really is the only thing RACs have going for them tbh. They're fun to use and can be effective but ultimately just not that good if you're using them purely for the damage.

Just hit "H" thermal vision can defeat being blinded.
I voted No.
RAC's are pretty average at best. RAC5's boarder on total garbage.
Poking Mechs make a mockery of you and your spin-up time.
Unless they are willing to greatly reduce spin-up, (scootch the heat down or scootch the damage up) no.

To make them work at all, you need to invest everything into the heat reduction nodes on the skill tree and then everything that's left into armor because you are going to get smacked by so much Alpha damage for trying to use them waiting for spin-up.

Then when you finally do get the perfect conditions and you're on a damage streak they jam killing all of your skill investment.

I'm forcing myself to try and get good with these(RAC5's), but maybe can only get them to go well maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 games.

No, if RAC blinding is too much for you to fight past then all autocannon impact explosions needs to be reduced.

Autocannon blinding can easily be countered by simply targeting the person that's shooting at you. Just aim at the center of the box and you'll always hit CT.

I voted no as well for the same reasons already mentioned. The spin up time on racks makes going up against pokers a PAIN IN THE ARSE! I normally end up wasting a Air/Strategic Strike to flush them out or just die from being poked to death, and/or even saying F it and move to another target. With that and the combination of the overheat/shutdown cooldown time. i think its pretty well balanced. I WISH the spin up time was less though so that i could actually fight a poke fighter...

torso twist? he either keep shooting all the way to jamming stage , or he will stop shooting, any of those will give you a chance to counterattack. all weapons have weakness in this game...except lazors they still king.

if anything RAC user can be blinded themselves by its fire, some mechs have ballistic mount too close to the cockpit.
