now that the clans have recieved not one but two machine gun squirrels, can haz that spider?

Light mechs being viable is healthy. How is that achieved is irrelevant.

And while we're at it, can we inflate the LCT-1V to 6xB and the LCT-3V to 4xB?

Or could we get MG Arrays? Uses 1 ballistic slot, and allows up to 4 of a single type of mg to be fitted within.
They could be implemented with internal slots like engines have for heatsinks, and the machine gun geometry is small enough to fit 4 in the typical weapon mounting square present on most mechs.

funny you should mention that. the arrow is terrible with newtech. thing just blows up too easy, its not what it used to be.

The Mist Lynx G that we just got has MG Arrays in the lore, but those were yanked out for MWO. It was given one hardpart per MG rather than one hardpoint per array. This might set a precedent.

Fine by me.

Add 4 mgs to the hero spiders arms/sts and actually make the piece of garbage viable for once.

6 lmg, 2 er med, rocket launcher 15 spider.

Clans just got two lights that can boat 8 MGs. The strongest IS MG lights can only take 4 MGs.

All IS MGs weigh twice as much as their Clan equivalents; a 4xMG Spider spends the same amount of tonnage on MGs as an 8xMG Cheetah.

Obviously, we just need to leave the hardpoints where they are and double the damage of all IS MGs. Posted Image








Jokes aside though, it really would be nice to have IS MGs get some sort of advantage for weighing friggin' twice as much.

With the impending release of the Arctic wolf. Maybe the assassin should see a significant bump in hard points as well? you know, an extra 5 more across the board. to be almost on par.
