That's how it worked in the previous system as well...so doesn't really seem like much of an issue, aside from the fact that one person thought that it took heat sinks into account.

I thought they only affected the base engine heat sinks?

to test in game items

I remember Chris saying that those nodes affected heatsinks under the new skill tree.
