Regardless of what the original idea for skill implementation was, the description for Heat Containment said "Increases maximum heat threshold by 10%". Heat sinks increase the heat threshold, therefore HC skill should affect all the heat sinks.

On a side note, heat containment has always been less important than cool run. Cool run benefits your throughout the whole match. And once you reach the heat cap and start to ride it, it is pretty much meaningless if it's @50 or 54,5 or 57,5 heat.

So we get even more heattreshold now to throw damage around, WOW this honestly can't be good. Because spamming coolshots and arties wasn't already enough.

The people spamming coolshots are arties are going to have to give up some part of their skill tree in order to get that higher threshold.

That's a rhetorical suggestion by the way, because that's so immensely dumb.



It generates less heat but it also fires more often, so its heat per second is not really so much less than LPL.

It still helps ballistics about as much, stop being a baby.


you still aren't aware that laser is easy mode point and click, while ballistic requires aiming skills.
The baby is you, thinking to buff laser even more, (prolly because a baby cannot avoid overheating), without giving some buff to the other weapons.
Pgi fix buffs energy weapon? then it wpuld be logic to buff even ballistic.... but non for a baby like you (babies don't use logic)

Nah. It was mentioned on Reddit. (They do read Reddit.)

I've been taking almost the full Ops tree on almost every Mech. Now I find that the literally thousands of Skill Points I spent on Heat Containment haven't been working...?

So you would (after deciphering your illegible whining) buff ballistics because they "didn't get any" even though they obviously did get buffs too with the same change, which you plainly ignore.

I think I just choked a bit. Didn't know there was an issue with heat containment. Now can we have a solution for the horrendous matchmaker?

Most people max out heat cool run anyways so the additional for heatcontainmenr (which many have skilled as well) isn't much bigger, but the impact of the fix will be bigger.

I don't know what everyone is getting worked up over. They will fix the problem to play as intended. The community will reorganized their skill nodes to match. A couple months later they will balance and nerf heat again. The community will respec to compensate. So is the cycle.

except that respeccing isn't free and therefore an issues with "changes" in regards of devalueating the prior choices. Also when it is to be seen that this change also makes things too much, why not instantly nerf heat?
