I'm not gunna lie guys, I'm being forced on an indefinite break and I don't like it! The cougar was released to the purchasers and damnit if it isn't the ONLY mech I've ever dropped money on...them my computer decided to give up the ghost. Instead of feeling sad at the lack of rig, why don't we talk about some build options?

I take my little cougar, the cougar-C I believe and throw on a UAC-10 on the left arm, 4 MPLAS on the right arm which gets shot off almost immediately if someone sees me, and an MPLAS in my torso. It works well unless someone tags your arms.

Honestly I think this is a good drawback though, all those hard points and that carry weight make it dangerous for sure! I think my one complaint is NO JUMP JETS! Why? The cougar was made to be a weapons platform WITH jump jets!

That's more the job of the Pouncer TBH. (We really do need the Pouncer eventually) And I have a confession: I haven't actually used my Cougar at all yet. Could only afford the standard package, and all the super interesting builds rely on the hero or reinforcement pack.

Cougar-H is the way to go. Other variants have been gathering dust.

3 Heavy Medium Lasers in the right arm
-40 point alpha
ECM
JJs
-25% jam chance

So nice once you get acclimated to going 81-87 in a light.

I bought the Standard and Reinforcements, but my problem's more a lack of drive to use them. I experience that issue a lot nowadays; If it's not a Huntsman or Linebacker, I have trouble finding the game fun anymore.
