Unless I am mistaken I am quite sure that back in the day, when you went into the mech lab the different components were highlighted on your mech.
For instance, select the side torso and your 3d mech model would show (highlighted) exactly where the component starts and ends.
Why do we not have this anymore? I litterally only just discovered the other day the position of the Atlas cockpit (after shooting the stupid slit in the middle of the face and doing nothing for too long). Also some mechs dont always have a clear cut place for ST / CT. When the game used to highlight the components, you could see everything without the needed guesswork.
Can we get this back please?

That is one of the things I actually really liked about the original UI.

The whole mechbay and cameras and stuff was better back then. I liked the aethetic of the old UI better, too. =[

Oh man, I forgot about that. I really didn't like the old mechlab UI, but that was a nice feature of it.

Still not sure why when assigning weapon groups, weapon position on mech / mechcomponents are not highlighted / communicated.
generally it's an easy affair, but when you've got 8+ weapons it can get a bit funny.

It was nifty, and a variation of it coming back for those that build their mechs in column view instead fo expanded would be nice, I suppose. But it certainly did NOT show you what the hitboxes were. (Yeah, the Atlas? Left eye.) There are a few player-made resources out there that will show you hitboxes, but the only one I know off the top of my head stopped being updated years ago.
