its arm is bigger than its torso, it would do it justice if it can take more beating.

if the Phoenix Hawk got it , then why not the Myst Lynx Posted Image

It'll never happen.

Why? Because the amount of crying and salt on these forums would reach a apocalyptic level. Mist Lynx is already OP according to them so buffing the ridiculously easy to shoot of arms would make them go mental.

Well my mist lynx's are a lot smaller than the phoenix hawk.

I could see it getting some structure buffs.

I think if the MLX got armour buffs it would pretty much guarantee an MG nerf across the board.

Well that's what you get for turning your backsidePosted Image
Besides an AC20 should obliterate the back of a myst lynx.

Well, you *could* add more armor to the Mist Lynx...

However, by increasing the tonnage it will move more slowly with that locked engine and contribute more tonnage to your Dropdeck.

I don't know how the non-ECM Mist Lynxs are but the ECM one does ok to make up for the lack of armor. I love mine for scouting, dropping arty and generally backstabbing people.

More than likely

there are plenty of streams and youtube out there showing how effective MG's have become, and once your open it's a constant cone, of damage, and crits, and the Light range is nothing to be sniffed at.

So I can see it happening, because Mist lynx's in the right hands are doing 700 plus damage with a ERSL light MG build.

Funny, my heavier MLX seems to run faster...

That's usually with strikes. Some of us were doing 700 plus in the MLX without strikes before the MGs; it takes a very potato match to do that with the MGs.

Honestly, the right torso with the weapons needs armor. I'm okay to play the wait-and-see game for the arms on the MLX-G, but the RT needs buffed.

There's a lot of vocal people saying that it's OP, now that it has the machinegun arms.
There's a lot of vocal people saying it's USELESS because these new weapon arms have low armor.

In between all of this is a reasonably balanced mech.

If anything, MLX needs those arms model change because they look ridiculous

Pls not more armor. Just shrink the size of the weapon hardpoints down. Just compare them with the ones from Arctic Cheatah. Funny part is that the energie hardpoints in the new sidetorso omnipod are smaller than the arm energie hardpoints. :D

Hmm....

Granted, that is the picture on Sarna with the biggest arms, but that's the look I like.

ACH also loses its arms like they were made of tissue paper, though...

Yeah, and this is what, an LRM 10 and some srm4? And four machineguns look way bigger than that.

Not by much. About the same, actually, since the MWO MLX torso is bigger.

At any rate, the position and size of the arms are such that a size reduction on the weapons would yield barely noticeable benefit. The elbows catch a lot of fire all on their own. And, like I said above, the ACH arms also fall off readily despite being smaller. Either way, it's going to need armor.
